Welcome to Cairo, the capital of Egypt and the largest city in the Middle East and Africa, that has long been the centre of political and cultural life of the region. The city that has stood for more than 1,000 years poses an impressive mix of ancient and modern history. Between these two amazing synthesis lies a whole array of a rich heritage of human and cultural experience.

Under Cairo’s impressive possessions, we welcome you to take part in the inaugural Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS), hosted under the high patronage of His Excellency, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and with the full support of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

Egypt, in tandem with the oil and gas industry, has seen a number of challenges and opportunities in recent years. The challenges were in fact the engine behind the government’s newly adopted oil and gas strategy, which aims at ensuring energy security, financial stability and enhancing the investment environment for international foreign partners.

The opportunities to accelerate oil and gas field developments remain a top priority for Egypt. The recent discovery of the giant Zohr gas field in 2015 was a game changer and a success story to be shared. Equally there are a number of untapped opportunities in the form of major ongoing projects including West Nile Delta (WND) and Atoll in the deep waters of the Mediterranean and surrounding areas, all with the potential of enhancing Egypt’s position as a strategic energy hub for oil and natural gas trade.

During the 3 days of EGYPS, we look forward to the opportunity of connecting with all regional and international oil and gas stakeholders during the conferences and exhibition. To do business, to share experiences, to find solutions and most importantly to actively discuss and explore how we can together, successfully pursue the development and continued growth of the industry.

A very warm welcome to the inaugural edition of the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS) – North Africa’s largest oil & gas conference and exhibition.

The Egypt Petroleum Show held under the high patronage of the President, His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and with the support of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, is set to attract over 10,000 oil and gas industry professionals from across the North African and Mediterranean to connect, network and do business with more than 320 regional and international exhibiting companies from more than 20 countries on the exhibition floor spread across 3 halls of the Cairo International Convention Centre.

The exhibition features 8 NOCs, 8 IOCs and 8 international pavilions displaying innovative technologies and industry solutions spread across 35+ product categories.

The 28 technical conference sessions will focus on the upstream, midstream and downstream disciplines across the entire value chain of the industry with over 100 industry expert speakers across the 3 days of EGYPS. The 2 day Strategic Conference panel discussions will include a ministerial and global business leader’s panel, where the future of Egypt’s exciting oil and gas sector will be firmly under the spotlight. EGYPS is also hosting a one day dedicated Women In Energy Conference and will have the first all-female Ministerial panel headed by Ms Dalia Khorshed, Minister of Investment, Dr Ghada Waly, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr Sahar Nasr, Minister of International Cooperation and Ms Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs, in addition to the of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. 8 dedicated conference sessions will discuss and highlight the active role women play within the energy industry.

EGYPS will also host a Young Professionals Roundtable on Thursday 16 February providing vital feedback into the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources 2021 modernisation programme and to encourage the pursuit of career advancement to effectively become Egypt’s future business leaders.
