We can easily be induced to go from intoning "Hare Krishna" to "Jesus died for our sins" to "Kill the pigs," and to find meaning in each of the implied ideologies. The next step is for the brainwashers to persuade us that anybody who doesn't see the world according to a particular reality map is wicked, or stupid, or insane.
