How to Fix Google Nest Not Working Issues?

Google Home's Nest is the second generation of its Home Mini product, a small round speaker that you can place in your home and connect to a larger Nest Hub or use it for your own radio or personal assistant. If your Google Home settings get stuck searching for devices, don't recognize your voice, or can't connect to smart home devices, fix the problem with these steps.

Troubleshoot Google Nest common problems Works with Nest (WWN) was the original way for third-party partners to access and control their Nest products. They were fully integrated with a Nest product and could check and change its status. Works with Nest connections will continue to work for users with a non-migrated Nest account in the Nest app for as long as our partners support them. Works with Google Assistant (WWGA) allows Google Assistant to control all of your connected products. You can use the Google Assistant to create Assistant Routines in the Home or Assistant applications. We've announced two new aspects of WWGA specifically for your home products: device access and home routines.

Google Nest General troubleshooting If you've checked all the steps above and still can't find your speaker or display, try one of the steps below and then search for your device. If you still can't find it, continue to the next step. Step 1. Restart Google Home.  

Unplug the power cord from your speaker or display. Reconnect the power cord to your speaker or display.
