Success Story of Dhirubhai Ambani: The Foundational Man of Reliance Dhirubhai is India's most enterprising entrepreneur. He is the founder of Reliance commercial corporation which was renamed Reliance Industries on May 8, 1973.

He moved to Yemen at the age of 16 to work. He returned from Dubai after working there for some time and with capital of Rs 15000 he established Reliance Commercial Corporation with his cousin but the relation didn’t work between two cousin brothers so they separated and Reliance Commercial Corporation was renamed Reliance Industries on May 8, 1983. On June 24, 2002, Ambani was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after suffering a major stroke. It was his second stroke; the first had paralyzed his right hand and occurred in February 1986.
