Who’s Opening and Where The Fresh Market, Inc. (336-272-1338) will open an 18,000 sq.ft. Fresh Market grocery store on the site of a former Roth Carpet at the intersection of Washington Road and Connor Road in Mt. Lebanon, PA. The existing store will be demolished with the Fresh Market location to be built in its place. The supermarket is slated to open during spring or summer of next year. The company also plans to open a 16,000 sq.ft. grocery store at Nod Brook Mall, located along Route 44 in Avon, CT. The store will be the company’s second in the state and third in the New England region, and is slated to open during the winter. The company currently operates 104 supermarkets nationwide throughout 21 states. Panera Bread Co. (314-633-7100), through franchisee The Traditional Bakery, Inc., plans to open four to five Paradise Bakery and Café locations throughout Tucson, AZ. Planned openings include a restaurant at The Corner, a center under construction at the intersection of North Oracle Road and West Wetmore Road in the city, which is slated to open early next month. The franchisee currently operates 30 locations throughout AR, MO and OK. The company currently operates 1,380 restaurants, trading as Panera Bread, Saint Louis Bread Co. and Paradise Bakery & Café, throughout 40 states nationwide, as well as Canada. Menard, Inc. (715-876-5911) will open a 162,340 sq.ft. Menards home improvement store on 18.69 acres along Woodman Drive in Howard, WI. The store will include a 94,432 sq.ft. retail space, a 64,157 sq.ft. warehouse and a 3,751 sq.ft. office space, and will also feature a freestanding 42,352 sq.ft. lumber warehouse. The company also plans to open a store along Lawrence Drive in De Pere, WI. The two stores will replace an existing location along Waube Lane in Ashwaubenon, which will close upon the opening of the new stores. The company currently operates more than 260 locations throughout IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, OH, SD, WI and WY. Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (972-665-1000) plans to open a 16-screen Cinemark movie theater at Oakley Station, a mixed-use development on 74 acres in the Oakley area of Cincinnati, OH featuring a 350,000 sq.ft. retail space, a 250-unit multifamily component and a 300,000 sq.ft. office component. The theater will feature stadium seating, digital projection and wall-to-wall screens. The company currently operates 431 locations nationwide throughout 39 states, as well as internationally.

Sheetz, Inc. (814-946-3611) plans to open a Sheetz convenience store with gasoline facilities on 9.5 acres along South Atherton Street in State College, PA. The store is slated to open during October or November. The company also plans to open as many as five locations throughout the Kanawha Valley area of WV during the coming two years. Planned openings include stores in Princeton, Beckley and Beaver, WV. The company currently operates 391 locations throughout the eastern region of the U.S., including 35 stores throughout WV. American Freight Furniture and Mattress (740-363-2222) plans to open a 47,000 sq.ft. furniture store along North 76th Street in Milwaukee, WI. The company will also open a 23,000 sq.ft. store along South 27th Street in the city. Both stores are slated to open this year.
