Who’s Opening and Where The Fresh Market, Inc. (336-272-1338) will open an 18,000 sq.ft. Fresh Market grocery store on the site of a former Roth Carpet at the intersection of Washington Road and Connor Road in Mt. Lebanon, PA. The existing store will be demolished with the Fresh Market location to be built in its place. The supermarket is slated to open during spring or summer of next year. The company also plans to open a 16,000 sq.ft. grocery store at Nod Brook Mall, located along Route 44 in Avon, CT. The store will be the company’s second in the state and third in the New England region, and is slated to open during the winter. The company also plans to open a store along Lawrence Drive in De Pere, WI. The two stores will replace an existing location along Waube Lane in Ashwaubenon, which will close upon the opening of the new stores. Sheetz, Inc. (814-946-3611) plans to open a Sheetz convenience store with gasoline facilities on 9.5 acres along South Atherton Street in State College, PA. The store is slated to open during October or November. The company also plans to open as many as five locations throughout the Kanawha Valley area of WV during the coming two years. Planned openings include stores in Princeton, Beckley and Beaver, WV. The company currently operates 391 locations throughout the eastern region of the U.S., including 35 stores throughout WV.
