A scrap metal dealer is in a serious condition in hospital after a fire extinguisher exploded and parts of it hit his chest. The drama unfolded at European Metal Recycling Ltd on Bentley Road South, Darlaston, West Midlands. The man reportedly used an axe to remove a brass collar from the neck of the cylinder when it shot off and hit him. Paramedics had to carry out CPR on the man who suffered a cardiac arrest.
