According to the historian David Starkey, ‘a British nation doesn’t exist.’ Is this really true? Britain today is a multi-cultural, multifaith society. You can hear different types of music, different languages, and eat a variety of cuisines on any UK high street. But if different decisions had been made when migrants were coming over from British colonies, things may have been very different.
