For many travellers, a Galápagos Islands cruise embodies the ultimate in expedition travel. Inspired by Charles Darwin’s legendary voyage aboard the HMS Beagle in 1835, iconic photographer Steve McCurry described his trip to the archipelago as “a childhood dream that came true.”

With the launch of new ship Silver Origin, the most elegant of all Galápagos cruise ships, which has been conceived and built specifically with the archipelago in mind, Silversea took the opportunity to redesign its customary offering in this remote region that sits 600 miles (960 kilometers) from mainland Ecuador.

And when one steps ashore on these 13 prehistoric islands of volcanic origin— which offer a safe refuge to approximately 9,000 known species of flora and fauna, including species that boast vibrant blue feet, vivid red shells, golden scales, and balloon-like gular sacks—one immediately understands their uniqueness. These are microcosmic ecosystems, each of which differs in appearance and character to the next—equally as otherworldly and always alluring.

You can now choose from Silversea’s two new Galápagos voyages, opting for experiences that suit your interests. The voyages include five new sites, incorporated to maximize your chances of enjoying the Galápagos’ most iconic experiences, including opportunities to swim with Galápagos green sea turtles and Galápagos Penguins, as well as calls to the most famous islands, such as Fernandina and Isabela.

Silver Sky Air Programme® The Silver Sky Air Programme extends Silversea’s premium level of service beyond your ocean voyage for the ultimate ease in travel. Silversea maintains relationships with most international carriers to ensure that the best airfares and schedules are available in order to make travelling to and from your cruise as convenient as possible. Silversea’s standard air package includes roundtrip Economy Class airfare and transfers between airport and pier on embarkation and disembarkation days. In conjunction with select flights, an overnight stay at a Silver Shore Hotel property will be added to the air package at the time of booking as an optional component and for an additional charge.

Silversea’s Included Shore Excursion Programme On all Classic Cruises of Silver Muse, Silver Moon, Silver Dawn, Silver Spirit, Silver Whisper and Silver Shadow, selected shore excursions (one per guest/port/day), if available, will be offered on a complimentary basis. Including Shorex for below ships, from this sailing date: Shadow > 24-May-22; Whisper > 22-May-22; Spirit > 31-Mar22; Muse > 19-May-22; Moon > 30-Mar-22; Dawn > 1-Apr-22. Shore excursions will be bookable at least 180 days prior to sailing, on “first-come-first-served” basis, although a pre-sale period will be dedicated to Venetian Society guests. Shore Excursions may require minimum participation levels to operate so it is recommended to sign up as early as possible. Silversea reserves the right to cancel any excursions including free shore excursions.
