This past Saturday was the Creemore Curling Club’s Ladies Bonspiel. The theme this year was Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and eight teams came to Creemore to play with Judy Hutton’s team from Stayner taking the win (from left: Jean Smart, Judy Hutton and teammates Merle Drew, June O'Grady and Nancy Hardwick). Organizers thank everyone who helped with the bonspiel – those who made food, helped the day of, brought decorations, bartended, or gave guidance. And thanks to all of the teams who entered and made the bonspiel a great day! Thanks to Creemore Village Pharmacy for 30 years of continued support and donations to the Ladies’ Bonspiel.

The team from Chesley came out victorious at the Cattlemen’s Bonspiel, hosted by the Creemore Curling Club on Feb. 7.

The freezing rain/snow mix certainly didn’t scare away chili makers and tasters at Mulmur’s 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off, Feb. 11. With varieties like venison, vegan, beef and classic chili, there was something to please everyone. Judge Dana McCauley chose a Classic Beef Chili with avocado creme and toasted tortilla chips as the winner of Chef's Choice! Best Table Display went to MulmurMelancthon Fire Department and People’s Choice for Best Chili went to Adam Lloyd. Thank you to all our contestants and guests, it was hard to choose a winner.
