Hough, Frances (nee Huculak) 19402010. It is with profound sadness that we announce Fran’s death on Sunday, September 26, 2010. She is survived by her husband John and their two daughters and their families: Jennifer (Marco) and their children, Olivia, Isabella and Luca and Tricia (Chris) and their children Charlie and William. She is also survived by her sister Rose (Gordon) and nephews Gordon and Andrew. Fran was born in Kenora, Ontario but raised in Sudbury where she graduated as an RN from the Marymount School of Nursing. She was a caregiver by training and temperament and devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was fiercely loyal to and proud of each of them. A special thanks to Dr. Mark Quigg at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital and to Drs. Jennifer Knox and Ann Horgan at Princess Margaret Hospital for their extra effort during Fran’s illness and to her wonderful circle of friends in Creemore who were always there when the need arose. In accordance with Fran’s wishes no service will be held. Instead a celebration of her life will be held at the Station on the Green in Creemore on Sunday, October 24 from 2 to 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fran’s name to Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

thank you Thanks to Dan, Lynn, Tom, Dustin, Bob, Donna, Emily, Mike, Ashley, and everyone else who makes the Creemore Arena a great place to work. I’ve gone to the Water/Works Department but will greatly miss Tomahawks, fingerprints on the glass and great hockey. “No running in the hall please!” M Many people have expressed their sadness and disappointment that the three red chairs were stolen from in front of the Mad and Noisy Gallery earlier this year. They had been enjoyed by so many in our community but no-one enjoyed them as much as our friend, the late Jim Vandewater. Thankfully, an anonymous couple who share Jim’s passion for all things Creemore, have generously replaced the chairs at their expense. On behalf of all of us in Creemore, I wish to extend to them a sincere thank you. Their generous act, speaks to their love of this unique community and to their love for Jim as well. Peter Adams, President, Mad and Noisy Gallery

We would like to thank the community for all their heartfelt support on the passing of our father, Ralph MacDonald. Thank you to neighbours and friends who dropped off food, flowers, cards of condolences. Our appreciation and thanks to everyone who patiently waited in line to pay their respects to our Dad. Thank you to all the staff at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital for comforting our father and taking such good care of him during his time of need. A special thank you to Dr. Houston for his kind and gentle care. Also, we would like to thank Dr. Roberts and staff of Southlake Regional Hospital of Newmarket. Our many thanks to Creemore Legion and the Legion Ladies for the service and lunch in celebration of his life. We also would like to thank those who gave donations to the Creemore Cemetery Fund and Collingwood General & Marine Hospital… Our Dad would be very proud. We also greatly appreciated Rev. Tony Rennett and the staff of the Fawcett Funeral Home for their prayers and kindness to Shirley and our large family. Dad would have been smiling down from above when he heard Tim Armour on his bagpipes. What a nice surprise! We loved our Dad, he was the head of our family and Christmas time will not be the same. We will miss his hearty laugh, advise and wisdom. Thank you all. God bless. Shirley Hemsley and the MacDonald family
