Talbot, Marie. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all joined us to celebrate the life of our Mom. A special thanks goes out to all the ladies that helped to provide and serve the food and also Rob of Life’s A Slice. Once again we would like to say thank you to all the personnel at the Creedan Valley Leisureworld that showed such kindness and concern for Mom. Also thanks to Dr. Lorna MacDougall and the CCAC support and home care staff. The care and compassion that Jim Henderson of Fawcett Funeral Home showed was greatly appreciated. We thank all those who gave to the Cancer Society and the Gideons in memory of Mom. We sincerely apologize if we have missed anyone that was involved in the life and the memorial of our mother. GRUETZNER, Nancy Ardith (Nee Neff) Nancy passed away suddenly and peacefully in her 86th year. She will be remembered for her passion for her family, friends, her gardens at Rill House Farm near Creemore and her students. Nancy was a long time educator, working with the Peel Region Board of Education, the Toronto District School Board and the Transitional Year Program at Innis College at the University of Toronto. Nancy was a graduate of University College at U of T and Lawrence Park Collegiate in Toronto. She was predeceased by her husband Edward (Bud) Gruetzner of Hanover, Ontario. She is survived by her five children: Anna (David, deceased), of London, England, Sara Jane of Calgary, Ted (Megan) of Toronto, John (Yan) of Beijing and Martha. She is lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren. Daniel, Sophie, Heather, Sandra and Katie. She will be missed “Dearly” by her sister Barbara Wisner of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at The Villages of Humber Heights Retirement Home, who provided a wonderful second home for Nancy in her last years. A cremation has taken place and Nancy asked that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held Friday, October 7 at 11 am at The Villages of Humber Heights, 2245 Lawrence West, Toronto. Call 416-686-6239 for directions or more information.
