Thank you so much to the friends and family who joined me in making my 60th birthday celebration such a memorable evening. A special thank you to Jim and Dawn McPherson for hosting this gathering at their beautiful home. Dawn, you have such a generous spirit! To Jackie Durnford and Laura Wark, for organizing the evening and for all the love and energy that went into planning this, I love you guys! To everyone, especially the uninitiated, who tackled a Tai Chi set on wet grass, Bravo! Perhaps “strike mosquito on left arm” should be the 109th move. Dennis Campbell, I so appreciate that you spent the evening capturing memories for me with your trusty Canon, and Chris Jenkins and Liz Eakins thanks for remembering the blinking lights! Bruce Ley, as always, thank you so much for the gift of music. Candice Bist, your beautiful words were a blessing – you know me so well. To Mathew Walton, much loved son and wonderful friend, I don’t have the words to fully express what is in my heart, but thank you so much just for being you. Where words leave off, music begins... “And I think to myself, what a wonderful world! Oh, yeah.” Laura Walton It has been a month since the passing of our dear son, Christian, and with the support and understanding of family and friends we are able to deal with it day by day. We wish to thank the wonderful people of Creemore for their outpouring of sympathy and kind words of comfort. We owe a special debit of gratitude to Sabrina Depuis and Peter Reycraft for taking charge that first week and for organizing, together with Sherri, Lyn, Jordan and Leah, a lovely Celebration of Life for Christian. Thank you for your donations to the Autism Society where they will go towards research and help others better deal with this debilitating condition. Christina and Henry Affolter
