The aim of the design was to create a community for women and girls coming from different urban as well as rural areas to create a more comfortable, desirable and interactive spaces for them and thus forming a single community like village homes. A community of village homes use on average of about half of the energy required by comparable non solar buildings in the same area. A cluster of 12 houses is created and orientated in such a way that each room will get a view of private courtyard thus increasing privacy and security and using passive environmental strategies like stack effect. Also cluster housing saves land and energy and thus the saved land can be used for more recreation spaces, vegetable gardens and orchards. These recreational spaces will thus help in mental and physical health of women and the fragrant plants in such spaces will help the visually impaired to locate their rooms.
