LIVING OUR MANTRA When starting our business, we wanted to create a unique experience in the cycling tour industry. Living in Tuscany, we knew it was important for our guests to enjoy a deeper connection to cycling in Italy. Our goal is that each client, cyclist or not, realizes a week -or more- with us 'living in Italy enjoying their hobbies and interests on and off the bike'.
As such, the following uniquely defines a BICI ITALIA experience:
We welcome cyclists & non-cycling family & friends. We build itineraries for all. We have one home-base for the duration of your stay, unpack once and relax. We ride in the morning and enjoy the sights in the afternoon. We don't lunch, sightsee or wine taste in sweaty lycra and cycling shoes (che brutta!). Custom cycling routes created for with you with your input. Flexible daily cycling and itineraries. No one relegated to a sag wagon. Villa-style apartments with restaurant, pools, jacuzzis, wine shop & bike maintenance shop. Premium bike rentals, matched and sized to your own OR bring your own bike. Local connections and experiences not found on one's own. Road cycling, gravel bike, MTB or any combo on the best terrain - coffee stops included!

We suspect you’ve heard how amazing cycling is in Tuscany. The roads are smooth, the gravel is hard-packed perfection and the trails are gnarly fun. Whatever cycling you choose, the views, the camaraderie and the surrounding culture makes cycling in Tuscany a cyclists’ must-do (often more than once).
We offer any cycling you’d like, at your pace. It is your cycling holiday, so we ensure it is YOUR RIDE, YOUR WAY. Once you book with us, we work with you to build the perfect cycling itinerary. Living here full-time and being locals, we know the roads, the traffic, the climate, and other intricacies needed to ensure your time on the bike is maximized - and you have a cycling trip of a lifetime.

While cycling in Italy is a popular sport in general, in Tuscany, the locals spend a lot of time on two-wheels.
Road cycling in our countryside is characterized by rolling hills and the cumulative elevation gain can be surprising to many. Fantastic rides are to be had right from our front door and we can weave together amazing daily rides with photo ops and coffee stops to ensure you capture all the best Tuscany road cycling has to offer.
Without a doubt, the original and best gravel cycling is, quite literally, in our backyard. The famous Strade Bianche defines our area and is revered the world over. The ‘heroic route’ or L’Eroica was built by our friends over 20 years ago and has gained the attention of race promoters everywhere. Whether you join us for a gran fondo gravel event or ‘lead out the pros’ for the Strade Bianche Pro Race or just ‘pick your week’ to crush gravel, you are guaranteed a gravel bike experience of a lifetime.
Lesser known, but a local favorite, is Mountain Biking. Mountain Biking in Tuscany is far more popular than most may think. MTB trails here are challenging yet extremely fun. Single-track trails in the forested area just outside our village offer a unique Tuscany cycling experience for the experienced cyclist. We also offer MTB cycling tours in the amazingly scenic Maremma, on the Tuscan coastline, as well as tours that include access to local MTB Bike Parks.
Whichever you choose, one thing is certain, you will experience rides you are promised never to forget. No matter the bike, no matter the roads. It's about experiencing the tuscan landscape the best way - by bicycle. In bicicletta. BICI.
EXPLORE
After the morning on the bike, we return to our home base, park the bikes, clean up, gather non-cycling family and friends for an afternoon exploring picturesque hilltop towns, both large and small, that give Tuscany it’s character. According to your ‘concierge itinerary’, we explore art, architecture, Unesco World Heritage Sites, castles and cathedrals - sometimes with a local historical guide, sometimes on our own. We make time for leisure shopping in artisan shops, picture taking and of course, gelato.
EXPERIENCE
Being local is the key ingredient to a memorable vacation. We gather your hobbies and interests off the bike and craft unique experiences with our local friends. Wine tasting, cooking class, and other unique local adventures are provided to ensure you are immersed in local Italian culture with the hope that you may glimpse your own life in Tuscany. In addition, we want our guests to leave a BICI ITALIA CYCLING & CULTURAL TOUR with more than a memory, but a new hobby, a new favorite meal, or new obsession - brought to you by our local friends and colleagues.
You will experience the true Italy by doing the things you love. Your trip. Your Italy. ITALIA.
YOUR WEEK We operate on a fully custom basis each season. Pick your week and it is yours. Yours and your spouse, yours and your cycling friends, yours and your shop crew, or if you choose you can share an event week with new friends you meet on the trip. First come, first serve deposits hold your week. Our calendar is open for week-long stays April through the end of October.
We offer custom concierge cycling tours around cycling events or you can ‘pick your week’, it is up to you if you want to share or keep your week private. For private groups, we limit to 10 people (cyclists and non-cyclists inclusive) with the ideal group size of 6. Conversely, we happily accommodate solo cyclists and couples.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Your tour with us includes a stay at our village villa apartments and B&B. Our rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Our complex includes a restaurant, outdoor pools, heated indoor pool, private jacuzzi, a wine shop, and access to our bike maintenance shop. Our rooms are configured in such a way we can offer the best stay for any mix of guests. Most rooms include their own private terrace and/or scenic view of Siena in the distance.
TOUR PACKAGES
As professional travel consultants (IATA and CLIA members), we know that some people enjoy the option of All-Inclusive Travel. We offer our clients the ability to select their concierge level for their BICI ITALIA cycling tour: COMPLETO, COME GLI ITALIANI, OR SOLO BICI.
We are also able to plan travel around your cycling vacation via our AmEx Travel Agency to include cruises and travel within Italy, Europe, Croatia, Greece, UK and other nearby destinations. We extend this service as well as assistance with travel insurance, free-of-charge to our BICI ITALIA clients. As travel professionals, we are well-versed in pandemic travel and have the resources at our disposal to ensure safe travel.
