ON 23rd September Coleshill's Town Mayor, Councillor Kirsteen Wootton, announced the appointment of the Town's first Sergeant At Arms. Councillor Wooton told us: “I’m pleased to announce that I’ve appointed Coleshill’s first ever Sergeant-at-Arms, Simon Toon. Traditionally the role involves acting as the mayor’s bodyguard. However given the lack of threats to my person, my sergeant will support me in coordinating civ-

ic functions and will promote the heritage of the town. I should like to thank Simon for agreeing to undertake this unpaid, voluntary role.” Simon commented about his new role "I am honoured to have been invited to take on this new role. I look forward to supporting our Mayor and Town Council and promoting the town's heritage and history. And to be the first holder of this post I hope it can be made a continuing role to the benefit the whole of Coleshill."

“MYSTERY sourrounds the whereabouts of a publicly funded app commissioned to plug the chasm in hi-tech products devoted to the Warwickkshire town of Coleshill. Having handed over £6000 to an outfit called "Coleshill Online" in February last year, the conservative County Council have yet to see anything for it's money. The app was supposed to be delivered by local businessman Mark Jones, who is himself a Tory councillor on North Warwickshire Borough Council. Alas the 56 year old's past gives little cause for optimism. He has at least eight dissolved companies to his name and various county court judgements; in 2008 a lettings agency he ran hit the headlines after students renting

n Upsize or downsize easily n Office space / virtual office facilities properties via him in Leicester were thrown out when he didn't pay the power bill. After a local resident linked him to the relevant BBC story on Twitter, Jones replied with a libel threat. While he's at his computer maybe he can get to work on that app.” Coleshill now has a new app produced on behalf of the love coleshill consortium by ST-IT and is available on Android and iPhone. We must make it very clear that Love Coleshill or Simon Toon and ST-IT are in no way connected with Coleshill Online or the scandal surrounding it.
