slow down in front of a ramshackle house which is need of great repair. They turn to the man and state that this is his house of residence, this is your chelek! The man was shocked and asked, “This is Gan Eden?” The Malachim answered, “When you do Mitzovs, just to be Yotzer, when you do it because you are forced and you carry them out without Simcha, your chelek becomes a reflection of your actions!” We are on this world today, now is the time to work. Blueberry Lemon Pancakes These pancakes are perfect for a Sunday breakfast, complete with a mix of wheat and allpurpose flour to give them an extra heartiness‌ Ingredients: 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 cup whole wheat flour 1 Tbsp baking powder 2 Tbsp granulated sugar Zest of 1 lemon 1/2 tsp salt 1 large egg 2 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 cup milk 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional) 8 ounces fresh blueberries Directions: 1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flours, baking powder, sugar, lemon zest, and salt. 2. Make a well in the center and add the egg, milk, oil, and lemon juice. 3. Stir together until fully combined
(NOTE: a few lumps are okay) and fold in the blueberries. 4. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto a heated griddle and cook on each side until lightly browned. 5. Serve hot with a drizzle of maple or blueberry syrup. Yields: 4 servings

Tilly Smith, a 10-year-old girl from Surrey, was vacationing with her parents and 7-year-old sister in Phuket, Thailand. They were on the beach when the tide suddenly rushed out. The water began to bubble and the boats they could see on the horizon started bobbing crazily up and down. Fortunately, Tilly had studied tsunamis two weeks before in a geography class. In fact, she had even completed a project on the giant waves. She recognized that they were seeing the warning signs of a tsunami, and they needed to get off the beach immediately. Smith alerted her parents to what was happening, and they then spread the word amongst the rest of the vacationers. They also alerted the staff at their hotel, which was quickly evacuated. Overall, Smith saved her family and 100 other tourists from the violent tsunami.
