APPRENTICE ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

The Role
You will be an integral part of the Operations team, learning from our highly skilled tradespeople. This position will not only give you a nationally recognised trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, with the view to upskill to Instrumentation), but will also provide entry to a fantastic career in the energy industry.
Your apprenticeship will consist of 3 - 4 years of both formal classroom training and onsite work experience. After completion, there will be the opportunity for permanent employment and further development of your career with APA.
The role will be based with our fantastic team at Cobar. Your TAFE fees will be covered by APA, and all equipment and PPE will be provided. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
• Assist with repairs/replacement of fault plant
• Participate in upgrades and modifications to new plant and systems
• Assist with install, commission, test, calibrate, monitor, fault find and diagnose, repair, maintain, overhaul and service equipment
• Perform electrical duties under the guidance of qualified team members
• Assist team members onsite and site housekeeping
• Attend TAFE and complete the required coursework
• Learn the safe and correct operation of machinery and use of hand and power tools
• Conduct safe-work risk assessments

Murdi Paaki Services Limited (MPSL) is seeking applications from motivated people interested in undertaking the role of Chief Executive Officer.
About Murdi Paaki Services Limited (MPSL)

Murdi Paaki Services Limited was created by the Murdi Paaki Regional Assembly as the operational arm to support and advocate to equalise the balance of our interactions with the Government and other agencies on behalf of First Nation peoples in the Murdi Paaki Region.
Chief Executive Officer – Full time
The Chief Executive Officer will effectively manage the operations and business of MPSL in accordance with the positions’ operational functions and within the delegated authorities. In this capacity, the CEO will provide accurate and sound advice to the MPSL Board of Directors and Chairperson to enable informed decisions and to ensure the implementation of the Board’s decisions and resolutions in a timely and appropriate manner.
Full time until 30 June 2024 with the possibility of renewal – subject ongoing to funding.
Aboriginality is a genuine occupational requirement of the position under section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
