Emaan Junaid The Girl Who Never Got Sad 4

There was once a girl named Alice, she was a nice, kind, pretty, and a very happy girl, she always told everyone to stay happy and everything will be all right and they always were, but one family got to her last nerve Alice had a lot of patience for this family, the family was really rude and always made every kid sad including Alice at times but she never let them get to her, Alice was a bright child since she was five years old at the time the family started bullying her she was fourteen and she was obviously never sad, she actually never showed her sad face to anyone, not even her own parents. The truth was that Alice was never seen not smiling she was never sad and she was loved by everyone. There was a family that was really rude to Alice, and not just Alice the whole neighbourhood's kids, every kid really hated that family but they were really rich so no one could do anything about it The Family’s son was the meanest thought Alice’s parents were richer they didn’t know about how the family bullies their kids Alice was really patient with the family thinking that the family would change one day so she never told her parents. Even though Alice was bullied a lot by the family she was still never seen sad she was a bright and a happy girl.

One day she didn’t see the family the whole day not even the son so her and her family decided to go to a picnic when they were about to leave Alice saw the family spying on them with binoculars she thought that they were probably looking at someone else so she moved around to see if they were still looking at her and they were and when the family found out that Alice saw that they were looking at her they immediately came outside to bully Alice that’s what Alice thought but what they actually did was strange The family came outside and asked where Alice and her family are going Alice’s parents happily clueless about the bulling topic asked them to come along in the picnic with them, Alice nearly made a sad face but she had to control her emotions so she didn’t say anything about it and agree, the family and they’re son were smirking at Alice, during the whole ride they’re son kept bothering Alice in whispers since they all went in one car Alice and the family’s son had to sit at the back seats. When they reached the park for the picnic the family said something to Alice that made her cry. While Alice’s family was setting up the picnic the family went to Alice and whispered into her ear saying that they would get her kicked out of the city, that was her last straw, as soon as they said that she started to cry for the first time in nine years, everyone at the park knew that Alice was a super 6

happy kid so they were also very shocked that she was crying her parents started to worry after sometime because she was crying for fifteen minutes straight The felt bad for her because she was never seen sad or even crying so it was a complete shock for them they said sorry to Alice but she cried even harder After sometime a girl named Diana came to her and hugged her tight and Alice hugged her back after sometime Alice stopped crying and her parents were so confused of who Diana was so they questioned her and found out that she was her best friend who always made Alice feel better after she used to get bullied Alice’s parents were really grateful to Diana for making her stop crying and Alice was a bright and a happy girl as she always was

Emaan- Life with masks

A few years ago, everything was normal, until covid came. It started from China and a city called Wuhan. Covid kept spreading until everyone had to wear mask and gloves. Slowly schools closed and the lockdown began for 3 months. We didn’t go anywhere for 3 months, and I was so bored. We thought that covid will be over soon but it took around 1 year for the restrictions to be over, the Lockdown was finally over we were so happy but we still had to stay at home for extra safety, though we did go to my cousin’s house, but we used to avoid gatherings since it was compulsory from UAE government Everything was so difficult, only my mom used to go for groceries, and my dad worked from home It was a totally different experience for all of us. Some companies reduced the salaries of their employees which was entirely difficult to survive as expat in Dubai. People were losing their jobs Airline industry suffered badly Everyone suffered so much and the covid kept increasing, it decreased but still it was increasing even more. Scientists tried so much to find a cure but they kept failing.

Because of covid I wasn’t able to see my family in Pakistan.

Some doctors and scientists got covid and died Some places full lockdown, so many people died because of this deadly virus Even if we did go out, we had to wear a mask and keep a social distance, it was so hard to breathe under the mask. Life was so hard with covid. Places were empty like stadiums there was no crowd. Places were on full lockdown Some people were home sick so they had to go outside for some fresh air I started to miss life when there was no covid everything was so easy that time. This complete yea was very struggling we were hopeless and frustrated. I was missing my school badly and friends too. Life was really disturbed. After 1 year of this sick atmosphere we heard news that it was a type of ray of hope that we can get back to our normal life

In feb 2021, Dubai government started to give sinopharm vaccination which is actually not a complete cure but lowered the intensity of the disease. Mean while things also started to get back to normal Restraunts were opening properly and then job, scenario was also decreasing but of the same time increasing as well.

I see you have some interesting questions, well after the show we went to have some ice cream but sadly we did not go to different pavilions and our performance was at the al-wasl stage at 11:15, we even had McDonald’s!

We came to the end of winter break, And we look forward to spring break. We started going to school again, To learn, read and write again. So excited to see my friends, To hear and tell stories to my friends, The winter break was surely a quick one, Now we have to wait for another one.

Science is interesting, so is English, Have to concentrate more on Maths and Arabic, Some questions need more practice, While others can be done without practice. I worry about people getting covid, Now, we have to live with covid, It did change everyone’s life, We have to be thankful for everything we get in life.

Dear diary,

It is been a long time since I talked to you about my fun adventures. Now I am really excited to talk to you about me visiting Disney land. It is the most amazing,wonderful,magical place on earth. It has all the rides you can think about. From Disney princesses to scary dinosaurs Disney land has it all

Okay let me start At 7 o ’clock in the morning we woke up and headed to the air port I was so excited to visit USA because in USA there is Disney land we boarded the plane and the plane started to go and fly up high in the sky Then we got of the plane into the city streets of USA.WE ate some dinner and went back to our hotel and then slept

The next day we woke up ate breakfast and headed out straight to Disney land there I got some Mickey ears and some Disney clothes We ate some Mickey mouse shaped pancakes and some cold orange juice. And then went on some Disney princesses rides and then we met my favourite Disney princesses jasmine and Rapunzel. Then we headed back to our hotel on the way we ate dinner And the next day we flew back home. Dear diary I really hope you liked it was really fun and my overall experience was amazing and thrilling and I really really wish that we can go there again in our summer break and I think then you should also come along with us.

Okay bye bye diary my mom is calling me for dinner. Tomorrow I will tell you about another of my fun adventures bye.

Summary of chapter 4

Ms. Temple lets Jane study drawing, French and later Jane studies piano. Then the damp spring air comes and brings a disease called Typhus, of all of the 80 girls at lowood, 45 developed fevers

Many of the girls died. Helen did not have typhus. Her illness was called consumption. Sometimes on sunny days, she used to sit outside wrapped in a blanket. One night, she heard a doctor saying that the consumption had destroyed her lungs and she would die soon. Then, Helen is visited by Jane and they fall asleep together. Jane later learns that when they were found, she was asleep and Helen was dead. Then they bury Helen with out a gravestone but many years later Jane erects a fine marble stone so that Helen would be remembered in other places besides her heart.

David: (Whining) Dad, are we nearly there yet?

Dad: Look, its bad enough having to drive without having to listen to you two arguing.

Mum: Be quiet you two, find something to do with yourselves.

Megan: But mum I’ve read all my comics and done all my puzzles.

David: I’ve read my comic and listened to all my story tapes.

Mum: okay then, lets play something. How about I spy?

Scene 2: Not a very pleasant game

(Megan starts the game, she looks at her brother)

Megan: (Cheekily) I spy something that starts with “F”

(After several guesses, David sighs and looks at his sister)

David: I give up its too hard, what do you spy beginning with “F”?

(Megan points at David)

Megan: “f” is for fool!

(David has tears in his eyes as mum turns around and looks at Megan and demands that she apologize to him. Megan apologizes to David and he thinks of is own idea for I spy)

David: I spy some that starts with “G”

Scene 3: Here at last

Ten minutes of guessing pass and all the family members try to guess

Megan: (snapping) This is too hard, tell us what do you spied starting with G.

David: (announcing)Jumper!

Mum: (kindly) David, that begins with “J”, never mind, it’s the right sound.

Megan: (laughing) Never mind David.

(Suddenly, the car starts to slow down.

Dad: (excited) Look everybody! I spy wit my little eye, something beginning with “S”.

(He pauses as mum and the children turn to look , they start to laugh and cheer.

Dad: (happily) It’s the sea, we’re finally here at last!

Everyone leaves the schoolroom and Jane sits on the hearth to cry. Helen burns appears by her side. Jane thinks everyone hates her but Helen assures her that not all the girls like Mr. Brocklehurst and knows not everything he says is true. Then Ms. Temple come into the school room and asks them to join her for tea The tea is not enough for 3 people to share so Ms. Temple Cuts them thick slices of a seed cake that she takes out of a drawer. She asks Helen if she feels better and asks Jane to tell her Janes life story Jane tells Ms Temple that Mr. brocklehursts accusations against her were wrong and that they came from Ms Reed who hated her. When she mentions Dr. Lloyd, Ms. Temple says she knows him would ask him if she were an honest child

Weeks later she announces to the whole school that Mr. Brocklehursts accusations against her have been proven wrong. Janes future starts to look bright again.

In 1989 there were four sailors named Bob, John, Sarah and Blake. Then a storm started. 10 hours later they were all on an island and they all were scared Then they all built a campfire, they got some food and they cooked up the food and went to sleep

The following day they all decided that they needed to survive until someone helped them get out. They all decided to get different resources Bob got wood, John got food , Sarah and Blake got ores. The following day they had to build a quick shelter so no animals would get in. That day was a very bad day a lot of animals were chasing them, and it was so hot and humid.

After a week, it was looking really good for them they had a ton of supplies. But Bob got a bad disease which the others didn’t know the cure of. They got some flowers and tested them After a few hours they got what they needed and cured Bob. They stored the other medicine they made

After a few weeks, they built some farms and pretty much collecting resources. Until a few group of people attacked them Thankfully they had made spears they all counted down from three and killed all of them. Unfortunately John was killed The all were sad but they had to make a grave and bury him.

They all built a massive wall, which took them over a day to built But they knew more people will attack The made an tower aswell, but now they needed more supplies. They all went mining and they got their first diamond, they were RICH! But at night a lion got in their house and ate Blake They knew that they needed to get out of here as fast as possible.

They made a connection to the radar and people were on their way. But Sarah was to excited that she accidently fell in the water. Sarah could not swim Bob tried to help her but she was eaten by a shark.

Finally a rescue boat arrived and saved Bob.

The Amazing Spider Man

Spiderman is a superhero. He was born on August 10, 2001 and is now 20 years old and an Avenger and he is very accomplished and lion hearted. His real name is Peter Parker He has the abilities of a spider but he cannot shoot webs himself. He is very accomplished as he had created himself a web shooter and made himself a spider suit. When he was very young his parents died and so he lived with his aunt and uncle but he was very frolicsome and diligent. His friends were Ned and MJ. They are very nice and good to him The villains he faces are Doc Ock, Green Goblin and Electro but Sandman was a villain but then became his friend Spider Man started performing simple tasks like helping people and saving them but then he started to fight a villain named Vulture and defeated him.

When Peter had found his uncle dying, his uncle told him that ‘With great power comes great responsibility’. Days after Uncle Ben's death, Peter had started mourning for his uncle's death and he had shut himself out from the outside world.

The villains he fought were Doc Ock who actually had no powers but he had created himself mechanical arms. The Green Goblin had scientific weapons like his glider and pumkin bombs. Electro just had electrical powers, but it also turned his body into electricity which allowed him to travel in anything which is electric.

On the day Spider Man fought Doc Ock, the latter had taken a hostage and then he had climbed a high rise building and then they had started fighting. After their battle, Doc Ock had sabotaged a train to go through an unfinished track. Spiderman had raced all the way there as his mask had broken. Hebroken. He had started webbing everywhere to stop the train. As Spider Man had stopped the train, he fell unconscious and the people who were on board lifted up Spider Man. They all had seen his identity but everyone in it swore to secrecy to not tell anyone about Spider Man’s identity even if they were threatened.

At the time Spider Man had started the battle with Mysterio, which was one of the hardest he had fought, faced with a lot of adversity. Mysterio had threatened all the civilians there. Spider Man had used E.D.I.T.H, a device Iron Man had given him to hack all the drones which Mysterio was using to threaten the civilians as they were Stark tech so Spider Man could hack them, during the fight Mysterio made illusions to fight Spider Man like a zombified Iron man as he was Spider Man’s mentor and by the end Spider Man emerged victorious.

Well the expo tip was amazing stunning and in many ways the most best thing that I had ever experienced we had the chance to share out talent with many people around the world and had an live audience! We even got to go backstage how cool is that?

Dear performer, Yes yes! I can imagine how fun and exciting must have been for you! Talking about feelings I want to ask you dear performer how did you feel when you were performing in front of a live audience? Was it nice? Did you get scared? Where you nervous?

Dear Hafsa, Yes! This is my favorite part! You see I felt all the emotions all at once! I was happy and thrilled that my teachers had given me a chance to preform, but after seeing the big crowd of people with my own eyes I started to think what if something went wrong? But I took and deep breathe went and preformed better than I ever could and I felt very happy when all the people started cheering for us and singing along to our theme song! Dear performer, Wow! That is a very helpful piece of information! I wish I could have been there to watch you perform and I could stand up and start to cheer for you too! Especially after seeing your video I felt like coming the same day but I had to focus on my studies....but there is always next time! A dull room somewhere in the school

Scene 1: Swinging Moods Chapter 3

(When everyone had left, Jane sat on the hearth to cry just then Helen burns appeared by her side)

Helen: Don't cry Jane

Jane: (cries) Everyone hates me now! They believe I'm a liar!

(Helen puts her arm around Jane's shoulder)

Helen: Because Mr Brocklehurst said so? (Helen shakes her head)

Helen: Mr Brocklehurst is not well-liked. We know not everything he says is true. So as long as you are honest, you don't need to worry about what others think.

Helen: Most of the girls pity you, Jane. I am sure that Mr Brocklehurst's words will soon be forgotten.

(Just then Miss Temple entered the room)

Ms Temple: Jane, Helen, I'd like you to join me for tea.

(Then Ms Temple ordered toast and tea but the cook wouldn't give more even to Ms Temple but the head teacher had a surprise for them A seedcake and she cut thick slices for everyone and they all feasted.)

Scene 2: All good things come to an end

Setting: This scene takes place in a beautiful green garden

Chapter 4

Jane: (Sighs) As I worked hard, I gained chances to learn. Miss temple let me study drawing and French. Later I studied piano. I was hungry and cold but I wasn't lonely or bored.

Jane: Spring came to Lowood and green leaves covered the trees but the damp spring air also brought sickness. My classmates began to fall ill from typhus. From the 80 girls, 45 of them developed a fever. Girls with friends or relations elsewhere hurried.

Jane: Helen Burns didn't have typhus. The nurses called her illness consumption. I thought it was milder than typhus. Most of the time I wasn't able to see her. One night I heard the doctor tell a nurse that consumption had destroyed her lungs. There was no hope of her recovering She wouldn't live much longer I'd learnt that my best friend must die. I couldn't understand. I didn't want to believe it

Scene 3: Sadness strikes

This scene takes place in the nursing room of Helen Burns

Jane: I had to see her one last time. Long after the teachers went to sleep, I tiptoed to the room where Helen slept in. A candle burnt on the bedside table while a nurse slept in a chair. Helen was laying on her bed. It hurt how weak she had become. Helen: (whispers) Jane? is that you?

Jane: (cries softly) Oh, Helen. I had to see you.

Helen: (Gently) You came, to say goodbye. You look cold. Come share my blanket.

(Jane climbs into the bed beside her)

Helen: (whispering) I'm not suffering Jane, this disease doesn't cause me great pain

(Jane holds Hellen close)

Helen: Promise me, when I'm gone you won't cry I will be in a better place full of love and kindness . I believe that.

(Jane and Helen fell asleep together but hours later she woke to find someone carrying her in their arms. Later she found out when Helen was asleep and Helen dead, they buried her without a gravestone. Years later she put a stone marble as her gravestone)

DETERMINATION AND HARD WORK LEADS TO SUCCESS - Aqib Iqbalscroll 13

It was a bright sunny day in Dubai. A boy named Aqib lived in a huge villa with his two siblings; a sister named Aisha and brother named Arham. They all shared a common goal in life – to go to NASA and study more about the Solar System.

One day while Arham was in school, Aqib and Aisha saw a breaking news on TV about a rocket ship being launched in space by UAE astronauts. They both got very excited and packed their bags to go to the Space Station. After reaching the station, they figured out that the rocket would be launched after 3 days They already knew so much about the rockets that they went straight ahead to the control room Aqib was so excited that he programmed the rocket launch in 10 minutes

All this happened while Arham was in school, who by chance also reached the station at the same time Now the three of them were ready to take off on the voyage of their dreams

After the rocket blasted off, they noticed that the rocket was low on fuel After refueling, they continued their journey to MARS

It was a difficult journey through various asteroids, and managing to save them from hitting the rocket. Suddenly, a huge asteroid hit the rocket ship and they had a crash landing on MARS. They managed stay calm and handle the situation by planning and with unity. As they landed, they walked out of the rocket and what a feeling it was, to live their dream.

On MARS, the robots were able to help them re-program the rocket back to Earth. They were able to connect with the satellites orbiting MARS, and the ISS to plan their journey back to their homeland, the Earth. It took them a few hours to plan and execute their travel. All three of them used their knowledge and understanding to repair the damaged spaceship too. By working as a team towards one goal they were able to get through this difficult situation. They started their journey back home and, in a few hours, they landed in Dubai. They were welcomed as Young Achievers and Inspiring Heroes of the country. They overcame every hurdle that came their way and managed to fulfil their dream of reaching MARS. NASA was very proud of their achievement and awarded them of the intellect and bravery. They were also offered scholarship to take up courses at NASA and broaden their knowledge and achieve their goals in life. Indeed, with determination and hard work, they fulfilled their dream.

Jane: I wasn’t allowed to join with the family because… Mrs. reed: (explains) such privileges, are for happy, pleasant children.

Jane: “why, what does Bessie say I have done?

Mrs. reed: (snaps) Don’t ask questions of your elders (Jane crept into the breakfast room and sat on the window-seat to read Bewick’s history of English birds which belonged to john)

John: (whines) Where the dickens is she?

(he was a spoilt 14-year-old pudgy boy who gobbled sweets)

Jane: what do you want, John? Say, what do you want, Master reed?

John: (demands) What’s that?

Jane: a book

John: How dare you read my books? This belongs to me, or it will, once I’m master of the house. Even your clothes belong to me. You are an orphan and a beggar

Jane: (cries) Wicked and cruel boy!

John: Mamma! Ugly Jane called me wicked! (Mrs. reed appeared)

Mrs. reed: (cries) Vicious girl!, How dare you insult master john? Bessie, take miss Jane and lock her in the red room.

Scene 2

(Bessie is taking miss Jane to the red room she is afraid of the ghosts in the red room it terrified her)

Jane: let me out, let me out (footsteps came running first Bessie then Mrs. reed)

Bessie: (pants) What’s the matter miss ?

Jane : (stammers) A g-ghost! I saw a light. It was a ghost!

Mrs. Reed: (scowls) it’s a trick to make us let her out

Mrs. Reed: (glares) Now you’ll stay an hour longer, Jane.

(Jane pleaded for mercy or any other punishment then she fainted of horror waking up she saw the face of Dr. Lloyd)

Dr. Lloyd: (kindly) you’ve slept a long time.

(Jane started crying because of his kindness)

Dr. Lloyd: Now, now, what’s the matter?

(she told Dr. Lloyd about her sad miserable life and he listened he was very pitiful)

Events happen on daily basis, and some of these events turn out to be happy, sad, dreadful, and so on. People tend to forget some stories, while others remain stuck to our minds for ages, sometimes generations. The same goes in this story. Where the world changes. It was supposed to be nothing, as in zero effect. Why will the world change with person who has this virus? People thought it will be nothing, ignoring this virus and moved on Why will anyone say it will make a huge change?

“The world doesn’t care For sure something big is coming”, came the unexpected reply. “What do you know? You are just a kid” replied the world, mocking the boy.

“I am telling you The world is going to change” “You also know inside that the world will change but you are scared?” The confidence was enough to confuse the world.

“What are you talking about?” “You know nothing can get through the world’s technology? You don’t know anything boy, you are very young ” , the world tried to get the ground back.

“You are scared. You can’t back off now. Unless you fear something?”, the boy replied “Ok, let’s do it little boy. I don’t fear losing to a young boy. By the way don’t say I didn’t warn you. ” said the world, showing confidence but completely confused on the inside.

The boy replied, “ no worries you have technology but I have a brain. Let’s see whose prediction is right.” The world more confused. People could not understand a word said by the boy. Trying hard to find a way out, but nothing worked. No one has a reply and therefore there was complete pin drop silence.

“Ok.” Gulped the world. Pretty sure that was not the correct choice.

And so, the grand battle started All the people got together. That battle was the talk of the planet. “Who will win? Will they even be able to win that battle?” Everybody had their own opinion. The world with their technology was completely relaxed with no worries, the boy, trying to research about the virus

“Don’t you want to win?”, asked one of the people.

“I will The world will never make it” Said the boy, this time a smile could be clearly seen. The grin of a winner.

“But how are you sure?”

The boy replied, “You will see. ”

After a lot of time, the virus started to spread very slowly The world looked completely tense The others were astonished. The boy was needed now with no other choice accepted they lost and begged the boy. The boy had a vaccine and opened a hospital for patients with this virus. The boy used the vaccine and it did work. The cases went down. But sometimes they would go very high.

The boy was clearly the winner. It was a new world, looked same, but new. Who knows? Will the virus go or not…?
