Angry, Who Me?
Bros and Bro-ettes, Who controls your life, Satan or Jesus? A lot of us go to church only on special holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter. I can remember when I was little come At Easter time, I would get a new outfit and off to church we would go, same as Christmas. Many think that’s ok (at least I went), but the Lord doesn’t want half of us He wants all of us. Satan on the other hand wants what he can get. He’ll take a little at a time and before long he has all of you. One way the Devil has you is by your anger. Satan puts people and things in our life to make us mad and angry. The angrier you get and fuss and rant the better he likes it. Ephesians 4:26-27. 26- “Be angry and do not sin, do not let the sun go down on your wrath. 27- do not give place to the Devil. We hold advantage over the Devil, it’s up to you how you us it.” I’m as guilty as anyone about anger. Battling these kidney stones has had me in a lot of pain and that opens the door for the Devil to step in. Satan knows when and where to step in just anything to set you off. 1Peter 5:8 “Be sober be vigilant; because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Some of us think that we can worship our motorcycle, car, boats, houses anything that we like. Just let someone say something about them in an ugly way, what is the first thing that happens? Most of us get mad and rant and rave, the Devil is sitting back having a good old time cause he got you angry
again. You know the Lord doesn’t like us worshipping idols. Remember disobedience to God gives the Devil a foot hold on your life. God looks at our heart, if we mess up all we have to do is ask God to forgive us. God knows we’re going to mess up but it’s up to us what we do about it. James 4: 7,8,9,10. 7“Therefore submit to God. Resist the Devil and he will flee from you. 8- Draw near to God and he will draw near to you, cleanse your hands you sinners and purify your hearts, you double minded. 9- Lament and mourn and weep; Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” Don’t think you won’t ever get angry anymore, it just means you have Someone to help you through it, all you have to do is ask.
