DANIELA BAEZ Daniela Baez joined TCPLA as an 8th grader and continued to participate as a senior at the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science.

Daniela will attend Boston University where she was awarded the Menino and FundoArco Scholarship. She will major in Psychology and Criminal Justice.

JAYLLA BARBOSA Jaylla Barbosa joined TCPLA as a 9th grader and continued to participate in the program until her senior year at the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science. Jaylla will major in political science at UMass Boston where she received a full scholarship.

JORDAN BREWSTER Jordan Brewster joined TCPLA as an 8th grader and continued to participate as a senior at Stoughton High School (SHS). While attending SHS, Jordan participated in the Math Olympiad and was inducted into the National Honor Society. She is the only student in the second cohort to enroll in AP Calculus BC and pass the AP exam. Jordan is interested in STEM and plans to attend UMass Amherst where she received a scholarship.

CASSIED CARDOSO Cassie Cardoso joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO Program and continued to participate as a senior at Wayland High School. During the summer of 2021 she worked for TCPLA as an administrative assistant. In the fall Cassie will attend Wheaton College where she received a scholarship.

Cassie will major in Sociology.

CYNTHIA FLORES-CUVEDO Cynthia Flores-Cuvedo joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO program and continued to participate as a senior while attending Lynnfield High School. Cynthia was awarded a scholarship to Boston College where she will pursue a degree in marketing.

KHALIA HAMILTON Khalia Hamilton joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO Program and continued to participate as a senior at Wayland High School.

Khalia was the first student since the inception of the program in 2015 to secure an internship working with actuaries immediately after high school with our corporate partner, John Hancock Financial Services. Khalia will attend UMass Amherst where she plans to major in mathematics.

JANIA JOSEPH Jania Joseph joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO program and continued to participate as a senior while attending Westwood High School. Jania will join several of her fellow graduates at UMass Amherst where she plans to study Journalism and Communications.

JESSICA JOSEPH Jessica Joseph joined TCPLA as an 8th grader and continued to participate into her senior year at the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science. Jessica will attend Suffolk University where she received a Dean’s Scholarship.

She will major in Business Marketing and minor in Real Estate.

SAMIRA LOPEZ Samira Lopez joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO Program and continued to participate as a senior at Westwood High School. Samira worked as a peer teacher for two years as an MLK Scholar through our corporate partnership with John Hancock Financial Services. She was accepted into the Honors College at UMass Amherst where she received a scholarship to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

JAYDEN SAINT-FELIX Jayden Saint-Felix joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO program and continued to participate as a senior while attending Wayland High School. Jayden worked as a peer teacher for two years as an MLK Scholar through our corporate partnership with John Hancock Financial Services. He will attend UMass Lowell where he will major in mechanical engineering.

CARLOS SWABY Carlos Swaby joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO program and continued to participate as a senior while attending Bedford High School.

Carlos received a scholarship to attend Springfield College where he will pursue a degree in Psychology.

AIKO WHITE Aiko White joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO Program and continued to participate as a senior while attending Cohasset High School. Aiko trained to become a peer teacher in the tenth grade.

After completing her sophomore year, she became our youngest peer teacher to pass the Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure (MTEL 47) for middle school math. Aiko will attend the University of New England (UNE) where she was awarded the UNE Merit Scholarship and UNE Nor’easter Scholarship. She will major in Medical Biology/Pre-Med.

JOSHUA WISDOM Joshua Wisdom joined TCPLA as an 8th grader in the METCO program and continued to participate as a senior while attending Lexington High School. Josh will pursue a degree in finance at UMass Lowell.

WAYNE WHYLES Wayne Whyles joined TCPLA as an 8th grader and continued to participate in the program until his senior year at the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science. Wayne will pursue a degree in business at Eastern Nazarene College .
