PRESIDENT’S OUTBOX
the AACCUP Survey Visit and down to the Institutional Accreditation, all of us went many extra miles to accomplish our goals. I am truly indebted to all of you! Never have I been a prouder father to my Bicol University family than when we were officially declared as having Level III status for our Institutional Accreditation on the first survey visit – a feat that only Bicol University has achieved among SUCs that have undergone institutional accreditation. As I greet everyone a very Merry Christmas, my heart is overflowing with gratitude to all the teaching, non-teaching personnel, the deans, directors, chiefs and heads of offices, teaching and non-teaching personnel, most especially the rank-and-file. Thank you for the gift of your presence and the beauty of your hearts expressed in prayers of joy and thanksgiving for the many wonderful blessings that we have received this year,
which we have all worked hard for. Even if typhoon Tisoy has brought so much damage to BU properties which will entail such a large amount for the eventual rehabilitation and repair of various structures, all these cannot dampen the joy and enthusiasm in our hearts as we still celebrate Christmas with love in our hearts. As we celebrate, as we enjoy each other’s company, as we partake of the blessings of food and people, let us not forget the days, weeks, and months to come as the year ahead will definitely pose more challenges. But we rest in the comforting thought that God will always be with us in every endeavor. Above all, let us always remember, we do have a family, beyond flesh and blood, to celebrate Christmas with in Bicol University! Have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year!
