The PRESIDENT’S OUTBOX

It has been quite an eventful summer this year, jampacked with activities that speak only of the university’s dedication to its vision of a worldclass university. With a number of state universities benchmarking with us, and us benchmarking with yet other universities, we exemplify the philosophy of sharing, where we recognize that nobody has the monopoly of knowledge. I am proud to say that we have achieved much this past school year, including us not just maintaining our centers of excellence and development, but adding another feather in our cap through the College of Nursing, now a Center of Development in Nursing. I know this means hard work on our part, as responsibilities are necessarily attached to such prestige not just to prove our worthiness of the title, but maintain them in years to come. I am confident that we will not fail, and instead add to the number of COEs and CODs in Bicol University. This is but a start. As we move on to my second school year as president of this beloved institution, we look forward to better things to come.
