From the Desk of the Principal Dear Readers, Through the means of this spectacular platform, I would like to emphasize the importance of spirit. This last year has forced us to change our understanding of the world outside and the zeal within. SGTB Khalsa College, with its extensive academic and extracurricular portfolio, has provided you with the opportunity to learn how to thrive in the world outside. You learned the potential of your talent and how to enhance and apply it to prosper. The manner of employing these skills, however, should be guided by the heart within. The bleakness of the world outside, daunting as it is, has nothing to the spirit within you.

I applaud the Department of Commerce for its efforts throughout the year. The work and flair poured into the making of SPECTRACOM 2022 are inspirational in their creativity. There can be no better farewell than the remembrance of all the people and moments that made your spirit shine the brightest

(Jawaharlal Nehru) A vibrant education system provides the impetus for the growth of a nation. Educational spaces must provide diverse platforms for students to observe, question, reason, research, and reflect, and thus emerge as individuals who can exercise thoughtful, responsible choices and express their views freely. As an economist, philosopher, and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen has very aptly written: "The success of a society is to be evaluated primarily by the freedoms that the members of the society enjoy". I believe that in the 21st century we must also strive to facilitate learning that provides the foundation for young people to become empathetic, environmentally conscious, and global citizens who will be a part of the change they would like to see. It is with this insight and dream that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College and the Department of Commerce strive to climb to newer heights.

Due to the continuous wrath of the COVID pandemic, this academic year has been extraordinarily different and brought in a bundle of anxiety, challenges, and uncertainties in the minds of the teaching fraternity and student community at large. We have eventually made peace with living between four walls under a complete lockdown situation and have forgotten to lead routine lives. Online teaching and social distancing have given birth to solitude, a new normal. Though it is true that in solitude, the mind gains strength and learns to lean upon itself, it sharpens the awareness of small pleasures otherwise lost in a consistent mechanical life. It offers a lot of self-introspection and self-reflection that further create possibilities to explore and discover new pathways. The latest edition of SPECTRACOM- the yearbook of the Department of Commerce, SGTB Khalsa College, is the true reflection of this exploration of the new journey. The Business Café feels elated to present its latest edition of Spectracom after successfully launching its semi-annual mag zine-BizGeist.

I would like to congratulate our students and faculty members of TBC - Dr. Kamaldeep Kaur, Ms. Mansi Bansal, Ms. Jasleen Kaur, Dr. Anupreet Kaur Mokha and Ms. Ashween Kaur Anand for their consistent efforts, zeal, and passion in bringing out SPECTRACOM under the adversities and challenges posed by the pandemic.

I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate the efforts of faculty members- Dr. Venugopalan T, Ms. Satvinder Kaur, Ms. Gurvinder Kaur, Dr. Jasdeep Kaur, and Ms. Gurinder Kaur Kochhar and the student members of The Commerce Society, for planning and organizing a very creative and thought-provoking series of webinars.

Under the wings of ComSoc, Enkindled Minds (the CA Cell of SGTB Khalsa College) is to be applauded for working hard all year round while conducting seminars and carrying out different activities.

I would like to thank our Principal, Professor Jaswinder Singh for his continuous guidance, constant support, and encouragement in all these endeavors. Last but not least, on behalf of the Department, I wish our graduating batch of 2019-2022 nothing less than the best in their lives. Handling the tutelage of ComSoc for the academic session 2021-22 has been an absolute delight and an opportunity I am deeply grateful for. These unprecedented times have thrown at us challenges that are wholly unique. I am very proud of all our dedicated members who saw these challenges as opportunities to think more actively and creatively.

It is a thanks to them and their dedication that the various cultural activities and events that were organized year-round have been a tremendous success. Team ComSoc has been operating very efficiently under the guidance of the core committee. CA aspirants’ Cell "Enkindled Minds"- established under ComSoc last year, has flourished and proved lucrative in its aims. The two chief events organized by COMSOC: the competition - “The Real Deal” and the “Business Conclave”- were spectacular in both the organization and attendance.

Chief Editors' Column It is that time of the year again when the Commerce Department is coming out with a new edition of its Annual Magazine ‘Spectracom’. It indeed is a proud moment for all of us. Not only does the magazine provide a platform to the students to put forward their views on plethora of topics and showcase their literary skills, it also acts as an archive for the memories of the year.

As I pen this letter for the last time, I am proud to have completed a two-year journey with The Business Café. It was a privilege to be the Chief Editor here and living through some great experiences with my fellow TBCites. The batch of 22 had its share of ups and downs. Covid snatched a considerable chunk of our college life. Every month some false hopes hovered that we may get to set our foot in the same space again. And each time, these hopes shattered to pieces. Many of our favorite food joints closed while we sat at home craving their signature taste. We battled through Covid, friends & family members falling sick, degrading mental health issues, and yet we all kind of stick together. We all had finally settled into the reality of graduating online. And when we least expected it, messages of reopening were pouring in on our WhatsApp groups. It was no-way fair that we had to live our three years' worth of experiences in merely one. We entered the college as freshers & re-entered as seniors. We all experienced a very emotional first day following a gazillion smiles in the next three months. Although grateful, we were all just not ready for it to end so soon. There were still many new chapters to be written in our Khalsa diary, yet we made full of whatever we had. Bunking every class and living to the fullest; new outings almost every week; knowing that we would not get this time again. To preserve these beautiful smiles forever, we deserve the yearbook. Made with all the love, Spectracom is a trip down the nostalgia road you won't regret taking. At TBC, we are committed to bidding you adieu with all the love. We hope to greet you someday in the alumni chapter. I would like to thank the honorable Principal, Dr. Jaswinder Singh, worthy department Convener, Ms. Paramjeet Kaur, and respected Convener of the Commerce Society, Dr. Venugopalan T. for their generous support in bringing this edition to life. THE BUSINESS CAFE The session 2021-22 started with great enthusiasm and fervor. Though the session was online for the greater part, still we managed to keep our spirits high and did not let Covid break our vigor. We, at The Business Café, organized a string of events to keep ourselves motivated and take full advantage of the opportunities being given to us.

We kicked off the year by releasing our yearbook - Spectracom ‘21. It was a huge success and received lots of love and appreciation from the students of the Department of Commerce. Our Summer Internship Program created a lot of buzz in the college.

We also celebrated TBC week from October 20th to October 27th, to mark the third anniversary of our prestigious society. A chain of events was planned out by the members to engage the audience and celebrate the event. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the annual digital campaign on our social media platforms. An online open mic and a Quiz competition were among the various activities organized by the team.

BizGeist's 5th Edition - the Commerce Department’s premium magazine was published in January 2022. The magazine received inputs from all over the college and was compiled exquisitely by our hardworking graphic designers. It was appreciated by all the readers and was lauded for its creativity. The magazine covered a variety of trending topics like Air India Homecoming, Metaverse, and many more.

The Correspondent Program was launched in March 2022. The program encourages students from across the university to participate and improve their content writing skills.

The Recruitment process allowed an influx of fresh talent, great minds, and creativity which helped us to successfully organize our Mega hit event- Mic Drop 2022. It was a five-day offline event that was organized by the team with zeal and vivacity. Participants from various courses & colleges showcased their talents like singing, dancing, poetry, rapping, and many more. It was a fun-filled event that kept the audience engrossed and entertained. The team bore the fruits of their hard work when the event was successfully organized and appreciated by the faculty and the audience.

Our social media pages TBC Archives and Official Humans of Khalsa were actively engaging the audience all year round keeping our spirits high throughout these dampened times.

Though this session was not a smooth journey, but we, as a team conquered all the odds and still strive to make the upcoming session an even greater success.

THE COMMERCE SOCIETY Dream, Begin, Be SGTB Khalsa College's Department of Commerce aims to help students develop business skills and entrepreneurialism.

It was completely an unpredictable year. Many ideas were implemented, but many were lost. Time helped us see the bright side.

Accepting basic changes is how to reset.

Despite the pandemic and lockdown, SGTB Khalsa College's Commerce Society hosted unique events. "GUIDE TO GLIDE" was organized on October 11, 2021. It was an intriguing session to answer all your career-related doubts. With a renowned career guide as the speaker, Mr. Mohit Sehgal, the session provides insights regarding various career fields and the other relevant information that one needs to excel in the specific domains.

Students learned about career paths and other information to excel in a field. Alumni participated in a Q&A session at the end of the event.

We held CASETIFY, a case study competition, from November 15–17, 2021. It was a virtual event that was organised to test the knowledge and sharp-wittedness of students in the field of Commerce and we received an amazing response of 500+ registrations.

Mr. Puneet Munjal (a certified financial planner with Motilal Oswal Industries Ltd.), Ms.Nikita Baliarsingh (a Forbes under 30 alumni), and Mr. Priyank Akhuja judged the final round ( certified corporate trainer, keynote speaker, and B school visiting faculty) of the competition.

From 1st Feb- 3rd Feb we organized "REAL DEAL 5.0" which was an exciting B-Plan competition.

About 150+ students from various colleges participated in Real Deal 5.0.

The winner and first runner-up of Real Deal 5.0 received Rs. 2500 and Rs. 1500 in cash, vouchers from our sponsors, and a certificate of appreciation. Participants received vouchers and a certificate for their time and effort.

The next event organized was a webinar titled "ITIHAS-SAGA OF INDIA" on February 26, 2022, to discuss "How the Indian economy has changed since independence." All events before and after independence affected India's economy. This webinar aimed to teach students about India's economic history and evolution.

Our guest speaker for this webinar was Dr. Anu Satyal. She is an Associate Professor, Department of Economics at the College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi.

The event was a success with over 100 audience members. Dr. Satyal took us through the various angles of the growth of the Indian Economy, the policies introduced and amended, as well as other many other aspects.

Enkindled Minds, CA cell of SGTB Khalsa College started this year with a lot of passion and ardour.

Continuing the legacy, we kickstarted this year with 250+ students in EM HELPING HANDS, helping each other and working to make the society reach higher levels.

We designed all CA Foundation and intermediate scanners to help the students. We created our own Alumni network for students to provide them personal guidance ranging from exam preparation to articleship queries and motivation.

This year we did up our social media game to the next level. We actively posted content on Instagram and LinkedIn especially in the infotainment genre with varieties like reels, memes, quizzes, general knowledge, current affairs, articles and sessions.

We organized a webinar in which we gave a glimpse of the CA course and how to prepare for the CA foundation in association with Nrich Learning.

We also organised a webinar on 'How to prepare for Intermediate' exclusively for our society members over Clubhouse.

Towards the end, we organised our biggest webinar, "Article's ship to success", a session addressing all the mindboggling queries related to CA Articleship with 250+ attendees which was taken by a well-known personality in this field, CA Sushil Kumar(Ex Tej, PwC).

Enkindled Minds is glad to be given this opportunity to shape young minds by proving their potential through various events and webinars. We like to express our kind gratitude to all the teachers of the Commerce Department who motivated and guided us throughout the year.

E V I S U L C X E C TB Gurleen Kaur The first time I heard of The Business Café was when Gopal and Saiyam entered our class with BizGeist’s latest issue. Although many societies caught my eye, The Business Cafe was the one I found them glued to. Editorial and the love for the language were always something too exciting to stay away from. No matter how many societies there were in the college, knew I had to be a part of the editorial board. From attending content writing workshops, Mic Drop, and the correspondent program, I never missed a chance to be involved with this fraternity in any way. I applied for a couple of other societies but getting rejected from them was never a disappointment. I always knew where my passion lay. I always looked out for TBC in all the messages forwarded to our group. When I applied for the summer internship, I never expected to get a callback. I even forgot about it until later when the interview call had me come out of my social media detox (could never be grateful enough to Ayush). I came here as an intern in my second year and remember leaving super hyped up and impressed from the orientation. It never felt like work, it was always just a warm feeling. Super supportive seniors, encouraging peers and so many great times with each other. I have to say The Business Café was a major highlight of my college life. Despite Covid being the hurdle between offline connections, we had our own time over Zoom sessions. Seeing the faces in real life after a year of online meetings came with child-like excitement. From hosting virtual sessions to spending our last day of college together, what this society has given me can never be put into words. I am so overwhelmed writing this. It feels like just yesterday we were running after our seniors to submit their Spectracom entries and here we are writing one ourselves. The team of The Business Café has always been nothing short of a beautiful family for me. From working for hours to late-night meetings, from finally adapting to the online course of things to getting a chance of a grand comeback, things have been pretty awesome. Beautiful bonds were made here. From having no clue about how things work online to having no clue how to go about functioning offline either, we all kind of figured it out on the way, together. Organizing Mic Drop, and spending numerous hours brainstorming, planning, and executing those ideas would be the best college memory I will take with me. It was a little scary when the seniors left us in charge but they ensured they were leaving a killer team behind. From an overwhelming response for Spectracom to the unending smiles we got at Mic Drop, these days will hold up a permanent position in my gallery. I never thought of being given the pre-placement at TBC let alone being the Chief Editor one day. I see a ton of development in myself from the day I joined to the day I finally pen down my last publication for TBC. Covid sure did snatch a massive chunk of our college life and all the excitement we had planned for our beautiful little community here. It all just went by way too soon. The thought of what we could have made of TBC & our college life if it weren’t for Covid, will probably always be in the minds of the batch of 22. I would like to end by saying that TBC has always been a home, a safe space to be in. I hope it continues to be the same extraordinary space it has been for us and all future members as well. The fact that we will be leaving this home behind is scary but knowing what great talents we leave behind is reassuring at the same time.

Pratham Naman Hello everyone, Pratham Naman this side. First things first, I come from a small town Jamshedpur where getting into DU is the biggest feat that you can accomplish in your life, I was programmed in a way that I always thought; "SRCC pahaunch gaye toh life set hai!" But you don't always get what you want, right? I missed getting through SRCC by a mere 5 marks, and I landed up here, at Khalsa. A place I had never thought I'd be in, but I couldn't realize that God's Plans were at their best. At school, I was always everyone’s favourite. From being good at academics to Singing to sports, I did it all. I was kind of used to being in the limelight. Reality struck me when I came to college.

Everybody here was a topper from their respective districts or states, but then I realized that I had to make a mark here, I had to prove my mettle in the ocean of toppers and rank holders. It was the first day and I got the responsibility of being the Class CR, I was overwhelmed, and made a lot of friends on the first day itself. I still remember 38 of us going to Hudson Lane to grab burgers and Cold drinks, It was Bliss. Along with all the enjoyment and excitement, I never lost focus on the bigger picture, I used to attend all the lectures and paid heed to whatever our professors were teaching, be it the knowledge from the books or life lessons. Apart from the academic knowledge that I was getting from the lectures, I wanted an overall development in me, I wanted to be a more confident version of myself and a more responsible Pratham. So, I started interviewing for College societies, it was when I became a part of Swarang, the music society, We became a family, making music compositions and organizing fests. One time that I cherish the most during the Swarang days was our trip to IIT Kanpur, that's a tale for some other day. Everything was going just right when Covid crept in, Things became haywire and It felt like I was back at the starting line. Though there were many negatives that Covid brought with it, there were some positives too. One such positive was The Business Café, The Editorial Board of the Commerce Department, I found out about how TBC functions and the amazing seniors that were a part of it. The journey from being a Content Contributor to becoming the Managing Editor at TBC has been wholesome and full of knowledge. I became part of Enactus Khalsa and Commerce Society too, They've been instrumental in shaping me into who I am today. Fast forward 6 months, being so deeply involved in College societies, Internships, and College Lectures, Ignite- The Placement society brought us some great companies for Placement. I was fortunate enough to bag two of my dream job offers, one from KPMG and the other one from Bain & Company, Though it came a hard way, the journey was sweet and beautiful. Being a Khalsite, I can now proudly say, "Khalsa main aa Gaye to Life set hai".

E V I S U L C X E C TB Sachin Bagai When I look back at my college, it gives rise to the sensation of how quick it occurred. I am still processing the fact that my 3 years in college are over.

Nonetheless, it was never supposed to last forever. Coming from a small city, it was always a dream to be part of such a prestigious college as Khalsa.

It gave me friends, lessons on life, and never-forgetting experiences. In my first year, I was learning new things every day. Visiting workshops, meeting new people, and learning about their ideas, all were part of it. But then The Business Café caught my attention with its flagship event MIC DROP. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to be a part of that incredible team.

Everything was going smoothly but then COVID struck our life like thunder spears on titans( AOT reference hehe). I managed to join TBC online somehow and it was the best decision I made in the online semesters. I knew it was a good team but I never expected them to be a beautiful family. Super supportive seniors felt like big brothers and helped me a lot in being who I am today. Amazing times were ahead of me. The college reopened for 2 months and I got the chance to relive it one last time before I enter the working world. I ended my journey on a good note. To all the favours I asked for, to all the good times (and some horrible days), to the family I found in Khalsa people, it laid the first stone in my course of life.

E V I S U L C X E C TB Karan Agarwal Writing this memoir felt twice as hard as writing my last exam (which I am probably gonna fail), the reason being whenever I think about my college life, not many things cross my mind. People say that I am from the luckiest batch who got to enjoy freshers as well as a farewell while the reality is I did not get to enjoy any of the two as farewell did not happen and I was too depressed on freshers to enjoy it. I was an extrovert in school who was friends with everyone but suddenly turned into a super introvert when I came to college. I made only a couple of casual friends in the first eight months and mostly roam around the campus alone, looking at other people standing in groups and having fun. I was exhilarated when the first lockdown happened and prayed for it to keep extending. At the beginning of 2021, I joined The Business Café, which was the best thing I did that year (I also appeared for CAT that year but...OK, Let's not talk about it.) I loved being there in TBC as everyone was welcoming and helpful & working with everyone, talking to the seniors, late-night calls, everything was so fun. Fast forward to 2022, when I heard about the news of the college reopening, I cursed the protesters beyond limits and finally went to college with a lot of fake enthusiasm and real dehydration, thinking it is going to be the same as what it was like two years ago. But this time, things happened differently. I started liking college and gradually fell in love with its vibe. I made friends in my class. At TBC, we organized a 5-day event which was a super hit. We jammed, explored places, laughed, danced, played, and had so so so much fun. I was living the college life that I wanted. TBC will always be a favourite part of my college life. Now that I have graduated, I am fulfilled that I came to Delhi for graduation and learned so many things. I feel like I have grown a lot as a person in these three years of graduation and I owe so much to my college. I hope to keep these memories throughout my life and wish a lot of success and happiness to all my fellow beings. Tata guys!

E V I S U L C X E C TB Pulkit Miglani SGTB Khalsa was a beautiful journey of 3 years, the fond memories of which I shall carry with me for the rest of my life. From just another introvert out of high school to a guy who's doing all sorts of things, figuring himself out, the entire experience was wholesome. There's a regret that I couldn't spend the whole 3 years in Delhi, but there's also a sense of happiness and gratitude that at least we, the batch of 2022 lads, got a very happening closure.

Chirag Chugh "It never happens as it should."

My first semester wasn't very exciting or extraordinary. It passed while I was trying to figure out what was going on. I didn't join any society in the first semester. When the second semester began, I started hanging out with a few of my friends who turned out to be some of the best people I had met in my life. My college life was synonymous with them. Everything was going smoothly. It was the time when I started enjoying college life, but the roller coaster of my life began going downhill.

The pandemic happened. I had mixed feelings. I was happy because the exams were online but at the same time, I had a FOMO of not being able to enjoy college life. I tried my hands at a few societies because I was curious about their work. Eventually, I left most of them because it wasn't as interesting as it seemed. Their work was limited to the laptop screen. But I continued to be a part of The Business Café because I was learning new things and having fun at the same time. Fastforwarding to the last semester, the last few days before the exams were amazing. I was a part of Mic Drop 4.0. I enjoyed those five days. That was the time I felt that endings are beautiful. I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life. My college life was quite different from my school life since it wasn't focused on my academic development (Honestly, I don't even remember the names of the subjects I studied during my graduation, thanks to OBE). Rather, I learned a lot of new skills and life lessons.

Simarjit Chadha Joining the college at one of the last cutoffs, I was not very familiar with the class or college as well until I joined ComSoc, where I found a family of my own. Its been 3 amazing years, and though most of it went online, I have had a good journey of representing the society, making moments to remember and experiencing something different at every event we organized. This final year of being the President of the society will be something that I will always cherish.

Kashish Kapoor Ignite is no doubt the best thing that happened to me during the 3 years of my college life. Be it the strongest of bonds with my seniors, colleagues and juniors or bagging a dream job for my career, all of it was possible because of Ignite. The onus of being the president was a big one that was passed on to me by my competent seniors and I hope I lived up to their expectations.

Avneet Singh Gujral Hello everyone, With great pleasure, I want to share the amazing journey of Enkindled Minds, The CA cell of SGTB KHALSA COLLEGE, with you all. The Session started with more than 250 students actively helping each other at our platform, EM HELPING HANDS. The academic department team of the cell made the scanners of CA Foundation and CA Intermediate more holistic to help CA aspirants prepare for their respective examinations in a better manner. We also created our alumni network to further help the students of the college to solve their queries regarding CA Courses, articleship opportunities and guidance on related career aspects. The society's marketing team in a constant effort to guide CA aspirants, started with a series of informational posts imparting knowledge on scams, concepts related to taxation and finance and MCQ series on topics of Income Tax, GST, Company Law etc. on our social media handles.

The cell continued its efforts for guiding students on various topics by organizing webinars on the CA Foundation course in association with Nrich Learning and 'Article's ship to success' with more than 250 attendees by CA Sushil Kumar. A webinar on 'Preparation for CA Intermediate' was done over the clubhouse. This year was quite insightful for the society members and other students who are connected to the cell through various platforms. I'd like to express my gratitude to teachers, students and other well-wishers who always supported Enkindled Minds and gave us the opportunities to do everything so far and wish all the best to the team members who will be taking the legacy of Enkindled Minds forward.

Jaskirat Kaur I joined Khalsa Street in 2021. In mid-February when all other societies had finished their recruitment process, there was a message on the class group about the recruitment in Khalsa Street. Without thinking twice, I signed up for the membership and got a position in the operations department. After a year, I was appointed as Vice President and Head of the Operations Department of the society. I would like to thank my seniors the “Dream Team” in this post for keeping our society hearty and have and for never giving up. Without them, there would have been no Khalsa Street today. The small team of 18 members now is making society grow stronger than ever.

After being appointed as the Vice President of Operations, I shared my position with Maanas Kriti Singh. Both of us divided the responsibilities and had fun running the department along with the society. We have a small team of 5 members, including the two of us. As the head, I never had to tell my juniors to do this.

From taking part in events to making Instagram posts, they took all the charge of the work and were always zestful. All three are stupendous and the credit goes to them! Shreyas, Kushagra and Dheeraj, you make the department full of beans. In the end, the credit goes to every member of the society for making it feel like a home. Khalsa Street is like a family!

Charankamal kaur I joined the girls' Bhangra society in my first year of graduation. At first, it was very difficult for me to manage my studies and society both at the same time but my passion for bhangra somehow made me capable to cope with both. I put my efforts into the team from the very beginning. My dedication and commitment turned the eyeballs of my coach and seniors towards me and they declared me the captain of the team in the year 2021. It has been a very long journey but yes, my team became my family at the college. Under my guidance, the huge achievement for the entire team was to be got proclaimed as an official team by our college authorities which was a real goosebumps moment for me and my mates.

One experiences lots of ups and downs on the team being a captain just like a roller-coaster, but yes, the time I have spent with the team is so precious to us and it is and will be the best memory of my college life.

I had always been a shy guy all my school life, with a few friends. But all this changed when I joined Tegh. On my 1st day, while entering the college, I promised myself that I would change my personality completely by being on the front foot of all the events that I participated in, and Tegh has helped me a lot by pushing my boundaries. This made me join ComSoc, specifically the sponsorship department in which we have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable and reaching out to strangers. Thank you for those zillion memories and life lessons.

GOOD OLD DAYS TBC helped me introspect who I am! 'Official Humans of Khalsa stories' is still my favourite work to do @TBC. My golden days with my friends who were all part of my craziness and helped me live my days; have so many anecdotes that we need a book, no wait it's never-ending. Last 2-3 months, I wish it never ended, lol!

You don’t even realize and you are halfway there. My journey has been amazing and full of ups and downs. Leaving my hometown and coming to Delhi was one of them. When I entered college, it was a whole new experience. Being an introvert I entered college with zero excitement and just fear in my mind. That fear constructed in me so much that I didn’t try to join any college society.

Then things started with a different concept as March 2020 took us back to our hometowns. We were also confused about our career goals. Marketing and sales were something I always wanted to try. So I started with an internship which made me clear to go with this as a career plan for myself.

Covid has shown us hard times and working for social welfare was something I always wanted to go ahead with. From starting Barkat Welfare Society with just 6 people on a zoom call to having 400+ volunteers from different colleges, this gave a boost to my overall personality. My whole identity took a new turn from there. It built my confidence and made me believe in my ideas. I realized the importance of social connections and networking and maintained healthy relations with my professional networks.

Along with this, I started sharing my thoughts on LinkedIn as a normal college student and my articles got so much recognition that one of the articles even got featured by LinkedIn News India. I could not imagine this change in my whole personality that took place from my first year of college till the end. At last, I bid adieu to this amazing institute!

~Pulkit Miglani The first few months of 1st sem of transitioning from being a full-time nerd to a college guy who is doing all sorts of things- exploring the city & the campus, making friends, bunking classes, and living a LIFE were memorable. The highlight would be the Treasure Hunt organized by ComSoc during Lashkara 2020. Being a top 5 team, participating alongside my friend Rakshit, did all sorts of crazy thingsComSoc guys would know what all things. :D

From being a melodramatic girl in school to being a responsible girl in college, my journey has been incredible. I was always an over-energetic kid in school who used to shout at the top of my voice and was always found debating, anchoring, conducting events, and whatnot.

When I entered college, I was full of enthusiasm and it took me to give almost 6 college society's interviews. I got selected in almost all of them but continued with Enactus (time commitment).

OLD Lockdown started and that was the time I started consuming a lot of educational content and I started writing it for my profile. Then I discovered my love for content. This gave me a boost and recognition and since then there is no looking back.

Working with the team was a satisfying experience. Field visits were just a resemblance of some Roadies task and being a “Roadies fan” I got some real kick in it, but even after doing so much I always thought a part of me was still not discovered.

During my 1 st year, I joined the Commerce Society and my experience has been fab! I have learned so much from it! In my third year, I became the Event Head and my journey has been all the more enriching! I got the opportunity to head so many events and learn to upbuild myself! And how can I forget the Manali trip that I went on during my 1 st year?

Apart from the usual complaining ki Covid ne college life kharab kardi yaar and ab kyu college khol rahe hai yeh log, I am glad the college reopened, else I wouldn't have had the chance to experience these BEAUTIFUL last few days of what people term as 'college life'. They were surely incomplete without little hut ki coffee, Kamla ke choor-choor naan, aimless window shopping and of course TBC Mic Drop. Having an absolute blast and forgetting to click pictures aptly describes these last few days. There isn't just one memory I am taking along, it's a yaadon ka bada sa suitcase packed in my gallery which I'll always have securely backed up in my phone and captured in my heart.

Good Old days? Well, Khalsa never disappointed in giving us the best unpredictable days of our life.

From bunking lectures and enjoying the dhoop in the ground to casually hanging out in Jannat with your people. Every day was a unique experience. One day we were crying and running haphazardly to give internals, the next day we were making fun of it while enjoying spicy Chinese food and cold coffee at little hut. People can replace our classes and batch, but they cannot replace our omnipresence from Khalsa. I won’t live in Khalsa forever but Khalsa will remain in me until my last breath. So will my friends, experiences, memories, societies and events. I will come back one day to eat rajma chawal in canteen and rant about my life if you know me.

SOCHA NA THA College life took a severe step back when covid struck. After every lockdown came another lockdown. When all our hopes were lost DU decided to reopen when the last half of the sem was left. I decided on day 1 that I am not gonna waste this opportunity just attending classes. And it was the best decision I made in my college. I met my online friends, made new connections and explore the beauty of campus and Delhi. These 3 months meant more to me than the last 2 years of college.

From visiting cafes in Hudson, clubbing, clicking aesthetic pictures to late-night YULU rides, losing in FIFA, trips with friends, organizing society events and all the other little things have become a core memory in my imbecile human mind. I couldn't cover even half of it.

Had my "yahaan main pighal gaya" moment after seeing my favourite faces at my favourite place in my favourite city. :D

SOCHA NA THA I decided, classes toh nahi jaungi.

Thanks to attendance, it wasn't compulsory.

1st day of reopening was just like the 1st day of college bas thoda sa difference. This time the nervousness was the same but just the uncertainty was replaced by so much warmth in the heart because itne time baad wahi purane chehre dekhne ko mile. It felt like my inner child was screaming with excitement & didn't wanna go home that day. It was weird yes but too wholesome to miss out. People with whom I had conversations in online meetings, finally got to see them in real and it was just so hard to not jump and scream with excitement. Wholesome max sachi yaar.

SOCHA NA THA I remember itni mushkil se toh day decide hua tha ki kab aana hai! 😂😂😂 Then, as usual, we were late as per the decided time! 😛 It was an amazing day full of gossips, selfies, catch up with all my friends after such a long time! Aur haan, how can I forget clicking pictures in the library and returning without getting issued even a single book🤭😂

SOCHA NA THA Thodi si ghabrahat, thodi si aankhon par nami, halki si muskurahat and lots and lots of Nostalgia summed up how I felt on the reopening day of Khalsa College. We went back to the Sheila Aunty ki dukaan to eat some delicious maggi. I was never a Café person, but my friends made me want to go to cafés to spend some time together. I met my TBC and ComSoc people, they are love! I met my classmates, they are love too! Spending time with my friends, with the new people in College was the best experience on the 1st day of the reopening of College.

I was on cloud nine. It was the day I was meeting my P-Cell juniors IRL and no one would deny that I was high on that day. I skipped around the college happily.

THE PLACEMENT CELL IGNITE: THE PLACEMENT CELL, SGTB KHALSA COLLEGE PLACEMENT REPORT 2021-22 Founded in 2006, Ignite – The Placement Cell of SGTB Khalsa College is a full-fledged training and placement cell that periodically liaises and interacts with the corporate world to explore the possibility of training and job placement for the students. Embarked with pinnacle, the Academic year 2021- 22 recorded visits by 50 companies including NatWest Group, Bain & Company, Deloitte, RSA, TresVista, Mother Dairy, Infosys, UpGrad, Nation with Namo and KPMG Global Services offering diverse profiles. So far 157 offer letters have been rolled out, the highest package was INR 23 LPA offered by D.E Shaw & Co. while the average package stands at INR 4.9 Lakhs. The Gross CTC for this year stands at INR 7.06 Crores. The Placement Cell was also successful in creating a profusion of internship opportunities for the students by hosting 209 companies including Deloitte, BCG, Bain and Co., EY, DE Shaw and Co., Oppo, L&T Ltd., Canon, Hindustan Times offering INR 80,000 PM as the highest stipend, while the average stands at INR 20,000 PM. A total of 525 offer letters were rolled out for internship opportunities. In addition to bringing a diverse array of recruiters to the campus, ignite also organizes talks, study abroad seminars, and skill enhancement workshops for the collective student body. Each session is marked with an assortment of events, such as CORPORATE CONVENTION which serves as a forum for corporate pioneers to share their valuable insights on the ever-changing face of the corporate world and provide guidance to the students. This is followed by hands-down the biggest event of Ignite, ANUBHAVA an annual PAN India Online internship fair that is lauded for its sheer grand scale, last year, it saw over 3700 registrations and 11000+ applications from all over India. Ignite believes that the counsel of the alumni is of the utmost value to the current students, hence to bridge the gap between the alumni and students, Ignite organizes the ALUMNI TALK SERIES each year. Further, to facilitate learning engagingly and excitingly, The Placement Cell organizes NITI, a case study, and a business quiz competition. Ignite believes that the advice and knowledge that business leaders from all fields can impart to students is unrivalled. To materialize this vision, it organizes events ACIES and LAKSHYA, a virtual career counselling event each session. The mission and endeavour of The Placement Cell are focused on making certain that the students are well-equipped with a plethora of skills and valuable insights into the corporate world to ensure that their talents are honed in the best way possible.
