“We relished the opportunity to showcase our expertise with this important civic project,” Rod Cooper of RJC said. Mr Cooper brought his building knowledge and humour to engage with the architect and engineer during construction when alternative methods or materials were investigated to determine the most appropriate or cost effective method. “Rod and his team were also open, extremely pleasant to deal with and totally trustworthy during the whole process, from initial discussion to project sign off,” MCDF Architects’ Dean Fehlberg said. Multiple facade features Mr Cooper said that from a builder’s point of view, the project was a mixture of heritage and contemporary design and was unique in that it incorporated multiple facade features including limestone, dado finish, acrylic texture render, aluminium composite panels, glazing and metal work, with artworks, external landscape and internal finishes. “It was a challenge to integrate all these vivid features seamlessly and this was achieved through attention to detail and the relentless efforts of our team at RJC Constructions,” he said.”
