Custom-Built Classic Home in Mt Claremont Meets Expectations

The project brief The client is a real estate investor who purchased the block several years ago. He met Antonio Princi through a mutual friend, a real estate agent who was selling a property built by Princi Homes – a family-owned business based in Malaga that specialises in all areas of home construction and believes in providing the highest possible quality of service to all its clients. After viewing the property, the client decided that he wanted a similar home for his block of land. He met with Antonio and his son Anthony and hired Princi Homes to undertake construction of the home.

footings and floors. Treated pine has been used for the roof structure, with Monier Horizon roof tiles. External walls have been plastered and coated with Dulux texture coat and finished with a double coat of AcraTex texture paint. Glazing has been done with VLam Hush glass – a glazing material with high noise-dampening properties that belies its thin and light appearance. A particular feature of the home are the pre-cast mouldings to all external openings and roof lines, chosen to create the timeless classic appearance that the client wanted. Outside the house, walkways in washed aggregate concrete with built-in garden planters overlook the home's alfresco entertaining areas. There is also a security camera system that covers the boundary and the entry point of the home. Internal features include: Grand entrance area and sweeping staircase with wrought iron balustrades and American oak handrails. Modern kitchen with gloss and semi-gloss pro-form cabinets, natural granite benchtops, impressive 3.6m-long breakfast bar and a two-way pantry that can be stocked with groceries from the garage passageway entrance. There is also a scullery area with modern appliances, including two under-bench ovens, a steam oven, and induction and gas hotplates. Alfresco area overlooking the yard with a six-burner barbecue and commercial rangehood, making it ideal for entertaining.
