Administrative roles Event and promotions And a whole lot more… Register Your Interest to Become a Competition Writer WorldSkills Australia invites applications for the voluntary role of National Competition writer for the 2018 WorldSkills Australia National Competition. The competition will be held in Sydney at the brand new International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour in June 2018. All successful applicants will be required to collaborate and work with other selected writers (Education & Industry) to prepare and deliver the competition packs. The National Competition writers will also be required to assist WorldSkills Australia with the planning and preparation of the competition packs, including email or phone correspondence and cluster meetings for related skills. As part of the organisation’s ongoing review of operations and our commitment to continually improving all aspects of the competition process, the National Competition writer’s role will be filled only from applicants who make their submission in the following format and who meet the following criteria and deadline. Please Note: This application is for the 2018 National Competition writer and does not automatically guarantee a judging position at the competition. Essential Criteria: Have current education/training/trade/industry involvement. Have knowledge of national industry standards, national industry requirements and/or training packages. Have high level communication skills. Provide evidence of complete support from employer prior to applying for the role. Have the ability to work as a team with other writers to deliver the competition packs. Work and deliver to tight deadlines – National projects will be due by 1 June 2017 Ensure National Projects are in line with training packages, using new templates provided by WorldSkills Review the 2017 Regional projects with the design team in preparation for the 2019 Regional projects due by 1 June 2018
