A Tool from the Heavens - ChatGPT

ChatGPT, or Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer, is an AI tool designed by OpenAI, which has designed other AI tools, the most notable of which was ChatGPT’s predecessor, InstructGPT

GPT is simply an AI learning algorithm trained to understand colloquial language and reply in such a way that humans can understand. But why has the world become so obsessed with this new learning tool?

AI has taken the world by storm over the past few years, but thanks to a few viral news reports and videos on social media, the world has learned to embrace this Chatbot and use it as part of their daily lives. ChatGPT has repeatedly been proven to answer questions found in high-school textbooks. An article published by PC Guide titled: “Can ChatGPT do my homework?”, asked the AI to answer textbook questions on physics and English, putting its problem-solving and essay-writing skills to the test. So it is clear that this bot can answer high-school-level homework, but more importantly, should it?

ChatGPT is certainly a learning tool designed to assist in simple tasks. However, using this software to write articles/essays is still plagiarism. Moreover, ChatGPT does not have all the answers, its abilities are still quite limited, and it’s still learning “So, how do I use ChatGPT correctly?” You may ask, here’s the answer:

The ability to use ChatGPT is becoming increasingly important as not only can it complete tasks as simple as homework, but it can also be used to plan schedules, meal prep for those who need to lose or gain weight, p so much more. ChatGPT can provide all of these things and do it in such an efficient way that it saves time and effort. However, depending on how someone interacts with this bot, the outcome may be different, the same as in any case with a normal human being The creators of ChatGPT allow users to give their bots an identity: personal trainer, tutor or even a CEO.

Unfortunately, OpenAI’s software is not available to people worldwide, including in Bahrain Here is a list of all of the other countries that banned the use of ChatGPT: Saudi Arabia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kosovo, Iran, Egypt, China, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Somaliland, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Burundi, Réunion and Eswatini

This puts these countries at a severe disadvantage, not allowing them to utilise ChatGPT to their advantage This is due to some censorship laws in these countries However, basic virtual private networks allow users to access this bot.

In conclusion, ChatGPT is a reliable tool allowing millions worldwide to ease their daily tasks This is apparent in all of the viral social media platforms in which they advertise this software and state freely how it saves their time, money and effort.
