This annual report shows how the British
Academy has continued to exert vigorous
leadership on behalf of research, sustaining
support for its traditional commitments and
introducing a number of important new
developments.
The Academy had a turnover of some £33 million
and distributed over £30 million to support
excellence in the humanities and social sciences.
It was active on a growing range of fronts, engaging
with partners and with national and international
issues of concern to the research community.
Further progress has been made with the six
priorities set out in its strategic framework (see:
www.BritishAcademy.ac.uk/strategicframework).
