editor’s note We’ve reached the big three-oh. Yes, it’s our 30th volume of The Bride’s Tree magazine. 30 volumes of wedding inspiration over seven and a half years. That equates to 81 real weddings we’ve published. 81 beautiful couples who trusted us to share their stories with you, dear readers. Among our pages, we’ve presented you with 63 photo shoots with fashion and trends, and unique creative concepts. Jenny and I have personally planned and coordinated no less than 47 of those shoots.

Isn’t the invention of daily Facebook memories just brilliant? Between cute pics of my baby boy-turned-teenager and embarrassing old “Sally is…” status updates, I’m treated to business milestones I’ve celebrated along the way. Recently the memory that came up was the day I overtook my record number of magazines from my previous editor-in-chief role (12 editions of Crikey! Magazine in print - I can’t believe I’ve more than doubled that now!) And every year I love seeing the very early celebration of hitting 100 views on our website in one day back in 2011. Reliving the joy of those early successes makes me so happy. You better believe I’ll be sharing this one, too. I hope it makes future Sally smile. Love,

Meghann wears ‘Granada’, a Mikado fabric gown by Stella York. It features plunging neckline and modern empire waist in a ballgown silhouette. Granada is a little more on the formal end of the modern spectrum, however, as she is so lightweight and quite flowy without a hoop, she can suit more informal settings also.

Niam wears a sleek midnight blue dinner suit. This colour brings the formality, but works with more complexions than a black suit would. It combines well with a softer colours of the bridesmaids and soft white dinner dresses.

Meghann’s next gown is ‘Pegasus’ by Pronovias, a ballgown with pleated skirt and the pièce de résistance for every modern bridal gown - hidden pockets. Paired with the Duchess veil, a fingertip two-tier to flow nicely into the full ballgown skirt. This veil features stunning pearls concentrated around the comb trickling into a lightweight tulle base. It's these extra details that really elevate a minimalist gown.

Nikkita wears ‘Fanya’ by Nicole Spose, featuring sequin macrame lace and Chantilly lace through the bodice with dreamy billowing organza skirt. The gown is teamed with the ‘Mariah’ veil - a tulle veil with applique lace interspersed around the edge. This adds a touch of romantic detail to an otherwise simple veil, while still allowing the dress to do the talking.

For her second look, Nikkita sports ‘Femke’ by Nicole Spose, an enchanting ivory princess line dress with stunning off-the-shoulder illusion neckline for a true fairytale style. Paired with the ‘Pippa’ veil - a two tier beauty with delicate beaded trim and the ‘Olivia’ headband - a dosage of sparkle to finish off this perfect princess look.

Gabrielle wears ‘Hyperion’ by Pronovias. This gorgeous wrap front gown is taken to the next-level with multiple lace styles layered over each other and softened with a layer of nude tulle. This A-line is given a cool-girl spin with the addition of a subtle front split and tie up back.

Alessandro wears a tan Italian linen suit, which crushes just the right amount to sit in the sophisticated casual space. This colour works particularly well for the relaxed groom. Patch pockets finish off the casual look.

Look number two has Gabrielle wearing ‘Lucy’ by Enzoani, a daring low v-neck and back is transformed with a bohemian vine-like sheet lace. Worn with the Carla Cape, featuring trickling lace vines into a whimsical full-length tulle train. This is the perfect way to change up your wedding look from ceremony to reception without going for a traditional dress + overskirt combination.
