editor’s note Life has been lousy with super pretty styled shoots this last little while, my friends. What a treat to call hanging out with incredible stylists, hair and makeup artists, and photographers “work”. Playing dress-ups with the most amazing dresses on our pretty models and gorgeous guys in spiffy suits is like having my own life-size dolls! The little girl in me very much enjoys this side of the gig.

In fairness, although it is quite obviously the best fun, it actually is an awful lot of hard work! From all the pre-planning to the very long hours on the day, the back-breaking work of setting up and packing down… Let’s just say, my hat goes off to the teams that do this every week. I never fail to be impressed by talent we are spoiled to have at our fingertips here on the Sunshine Coast. Our two shoots this edition are both coastal, but each unique with one taking place at a Noosa fine dining restaurant on the river, while the other at a resort – the only local location where you can have a marquee wedding right on the beach. A highly anticipated new offering we are excited to announce. Find these inspiration overloads on pages 10 and 54 respectively. Much love to you, beautiful brides!

Noosa comes from the Aboriginal word, meaning “Shady Place”, so it’s quite fitting to spend a relaxing wedding day celebrating under a tree canopy, appreciating the beauty of the natural surrounds. Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar in all its prettiness is the perfect place to wed in Autumn. Photography by White Images.

Flowing auburn locks tamed into pretty curls pulled into a sleek, yet natural sideswept style. Warm taupe tones with a hint of the dramatic to feature the eyes and a bronze-nude lip; delicious on our Autumn bride.

Gina wears “Jocelyn by Enzoani from White Lily Couture, a stunning sweetheart neckline strapless ivory mermaid gown of Chantilly Lace with crystal beading and gorgeous back detail.

As though plucked from the forest floor, the woodlands-inspired foliage of Umbrella Fern and Forest Lace was enhanced by the warm Autumn tones of Mocha Roses, Montbrethia Berry and Pineapple Lilly.

Isaac donned a three-piece suit of grey with black detail, worn in a relaxed manner sans tie in a nod to the natural waterfront setting.

Crisp white bentwood chairs either side of a Persian rug aisle.

In a pretty waterfront setting on the Noosa River, there's nothing to do but let nature take the spotlight and complement her with the natural fibres of a macramĂŠ arbour adorned by florals. An antique wooden desk for a marriage certificate signing table provides a sweet rustic element.

A statement centerpiece is anchored by Raw Lichen Logs and Smokey Joe Proteas as the focal points, while our grey marble element was emphasized with Tetragona nuts, succulents, Dusty Miller, Budding Wattle, and the unique elements of Spanish moss and Peacock tail feathers.

Fresh local produce is used in Noosa Waterfront's creative contemporary dishes for a true fine dining experience. Contemporary two-tiered cake design with golf leaf and fresh florals, featuring feathers, foliage and small branches to tie in with the Autumn forest theme.

“You spend so much money on the occasion that you want to remember it forever – having the right photographer to do that, and one that we were comfortable to be around all day, was important to us.”

“We briefed our stylists on a rustic, wholesome, vibrant theme. We discussed antique whites, vintage pink, coral, peach, lavender, natural foliage and timbers. We wanted things to look more natural and eclectic than clean cut and perfect.

“We didn’t want to have too many formal proceedings on the day, however my cousin got his Marriage Celebrant license in the lead up to the wedding in order to marry us. It was an incredibly generous and amazing thing for him to do. It was so wonderful.”

Hollywood starlet sleek bouncy curls make for a glam bridal hair style.

Warm tones complement Riley’s pretty blue eyes and the perfect pink pout is a fresh bridal makeup design.

Riley wears “Eloise” by Anna Campbell, a gown lousy with lace and romance, and in added delight, a soft shimmer of sequins.

Every time this bouquet is gazed upon it reveals another sweet little detail. White Advance and Spray Roses, accented with pops of colour from Citrine and Malaya Gem Roses, misty, lisianthus, Snapdragons and berries.

Tiffany-style ghost chairs allow the rustic florals to shine. Lots of foliage in the aisle floral arrangements is that perfect touch of something special in the greenery-rich location.

Serene ceremony setting on the waterfront Pandanus lawn at Novotel Twin Waters.

Jonny wears a slate gray suit with a silver-blue and white floral tie for a unique twist on this otherwise classic look. An autumn leaf anchors his white rose boutonniere, representative of the season.

In a Tipi Luxe marquee, wedding reception styling can be rustic or classic, or a harmonious fusion of both. Fairy lights are a must in any marquee. In another impressive lighting feat - a chandelier hung from a fresh floral woven horizontal suspended ladder.

Opulent wedding reception styling with gold cutlery and charger plates to offset the duck egg blue crockery and matching stationery.

Giving the dessert table a new edge is the pie stand, full of absolutely gorgeous, delectable homemade-style creations. A gold and duck egg blue two-tiered cake with white flowers in keeping with our colour theme.

“Harper” from Anna Campbell’s Forever Entwined collection creates a sexy silhouette of delicate lace and features eye-catching silver beading and layered skirt evolving into a lavish train.
