ASCC Elections 2012

Candidate for President

Richard Berlo

Candidate for Vice President

I am running for President again because I feel there are some students out there that I have not reached. I feel it is necessary to try harder to reach out to those students who I didn’t affect or didn’t get involved within the campus. My primary concern will continue to be more civic awareness and civic engagement throughout our three campuses. By serving one more term it will allow me to reach out to those students and get them involved with on campus activities and events.

Currently serving as a student senator in ASCC, and representing a student body of 19,000 students, I am campaigning to continue serve my community as their 2012-2013 Vice President. I pledge to represent every student in the spectrum of our diverse community and pursue the responsibilities and duties of Vice President to offer every student an equal opportunity to obtain a higher education in a safe and inclusive environment. With a background in leadership and commitment in ASCC, I hope to continue offering my support and services.

Each of us have a voice; a voice which is rarely heard. We all have the power to create change within our community, but this oftern requires additional time and energy. I am a student, an employee, and an active participant in the G.E.M Recycling Program. I will use my time, talents and energy to create necessary changes on campus that you demand. Help me make your voice be heard.

It’s my belief that every student should embrace the opportunity when presented t better their college. I’m currently Vice President of the Chaffey College Car Club, and President of the Skills USA Club for Chaffey College. I’ve previously held the position of secretary the prior school year. I believe my experience with the planning of big events such as the annual car show at Chaffey College and he trunk or treat will be of great value to student government in the planning of future events. I’m David Day and this is why I’m running for senator.
