April Starters 2025
Early Career Teacher Programme
Any new ECTs that you recruit to school from 1st Feb will now be April 2025 starters.
Please let us know if you employ any new ECTs and we will add them to the April cohort or add them to the correct group, if they have already completed terms of Induction prior to joining your school.
Early Career Teacher Programme
Engagement with Steplab
Induction Tutors can download a variety of data about their school and track all participants on the programme.
It is imperative that all coaching sessions are logged and action steps are chosen from Steplab. This ensures your school meets its statutory duty to expose ECTs to the full Early Career Framework.
Coaching for Mentors
We are able to offer any Mentors a 1:1 session to support with instructional coaching, using Steplab or .
1:1 Induction Tutor Coaching
We can also meet on Teams with Induction Tutors at any time support is needed.

LDE Teach Meet Sessions
We hold online Teach Meet sessions where we introduce and answer questions about our teacher training programme.
We are ‘A Brighter Start: East London’s Stronger Practice Hub’ led by Sheringham Nursery School and Children’s Centre. The hub is funded by the Department for Education. As an Early Years Stronger Practice Hub, we are here to provide advice, share good practice and offer evidence-based professional development for early years practitioners working with children from birth to 4 years old
