The Bluff Church Building Proposal

Where We Have Been & Where We Are Going In 2016 The Bluff Church launched its Forward Fund campaign with the intent to be ready when God sent an opportunity for us to move from being a mobile church to a church with a permanent home. We believed that a day would come when God would move us into a structure that would allow us to better accomplish our vision of being a church for people who have given up on church and stay true to the mission of loving God and loving people. While we did not know when that day might come, we wanted to be ready when God moved and showed us an opportunity. Being a mobile church has had its challenges: set-up and tear down every Sunday, being hampered on use of space, limited opportunities for church community gatherings, and a lack of visibility are just a few. On the other hand, being a mobile church for the past ten years has also instilled in us the reality that a lot of churches talk about, but few experience - the truth that the church is not a building; it is the people who make up the body of Christ. That truth is one that has laid a foundation which should serve this body for years to come. Over the past few years, our leadership has looked at numerous buildings, pieces of property, rental opportunities, and other options for our church. All of those options always came up short in one way or another. Now an opportunity has come our way that seems to be the best thing we have ever seen as an option for a permanent home for The Bluff. This opportunity combines a building and land that would position our church for future growth. It is at a cost that is dollar-for-dollar the best option we have come across over the years of looking at many options. The timing, cost, size, and acreage all seem to be, by far the best we have ever come across. Because we feel God has lead us to this particular opportunity, for the first time in the history of The Bluff Church, we are bringing this building and land before the church family for a vote on Sunday, July 12. There will be two open houses to allow you ample time to look over the property on Sunday, July 5, 1:00-2:30 PM, and Monday, July 6, 6:00-7:30 PM. During the open houses, our Elder team will be available to answer any questions you may have. The following information is designed to give you as much detail as possible so you can pray about this important decision in the life of The Bluff Church family.
