elcome to the dome, our marketing team looks forward to working with you on marketing and branding your event at the venue!

Whether you are hosting an event at our venue for the first time or you have been a client for a number of years, you need to know what marketing and branding opportunities are available for you. The aim of this guide is to enlighten you about the marketing opportunities that we as the dome can assist you with, as well as inform you about various branding opportunities available around the venue. Whilst this guide is an overview of opportunities, we encourage all our clients to meet with us to discuss their individual requirements, so please contact our marketing team to set up an appointment at your earliest convenience. For easy reference, this guide has been divided into two sections marketing and branding opportunities.

MARKETING O

ur marketing team has investigated and implemented various opportunities to assist clients as far as possible when it comes to marketing their events, once confirmed. This is offered at no additional cost and as an added service to our valued clients.

General Guidelines • Use of the dome’s logo is permitted in line with the corporate identity guidelines. The CI Guide is available upon request. Please email nishi@ coca-coladome.co.za to request this. • All artwork is to be supplied by the client. The specs for the required artwork will be sent to you via a welcome email after your event has been confirmed. The following free marketing opportunities are available to clients:

1. Website All upcoming confirmed events are listed on our website. Below are elements that would be listed on the visitor section of our website: • Event features: A focused event featured on the visitor page approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. This includes an image with a link through to the event listing. • Event listing: All upcoming events are listed under the events list. Listing includes event information such as show times, costs, description of the event and contact details. • Press releases are added to the press office on our website. Clients are requested to email event related press releases to nishi@coca-coladome. co.za and this will be uploaded onto the website.

2. Newsletters The dome produces a quarterly newsletter. We invite our clients to send us specific content that is requested for this publication. The newsletter is produced in the following formats: • Electronic newsletter –this is available for download off the website in a PDF format • HTML newsletter version is emailed to our subscribed database. • Printed newsletter that is distributed through venue via our reception area and info counters as well as Northgate Shopping Centre via their info desks and Johannesburg Tourism offices.

3. LED Screen The dome offers our clients additional exposure by displaying their upcoming event image on our LED screen. These displays are usually uploaded approximately 2-4 weeks prior to the event. The event organiser is required to send us artwork that they would like to use on this screen. We only accept Still jpeg images in hi-res, size 1024 x 768 pixels, landscape orientation.

4. Social Media We actively promote upcoming events through social media one month prior to show date developing promotions with clients for their events via ticket giveaways etc.

5. Upcoming Events This is a listing of all the events held at the dome. The listings are published as follows • A1 Posters – We print A1 posters every 3 months which we place at Entrance 1 & 5. • HTML mailer – A monthly list of events is sent to our subscribed media database.

BRANDING T

he dome has appointed specific approved suppliers for production and installation of branding in and around the venue. All you need to do is complete the “Request for quote” document attached with what elements you require. This request can be emailed to branding@coca-coladome. co.za . Our sales co-ordinator will send you a formal quote with specs for approval. Once you have signed off this quote and supplied us with final artwork, we will do the rest!

General Guidelines • A detailed branding plan must be submitted to the dome 30 days prior to build-up or load-in of your event. This includes exterior and interior branding. • Branding plan must clearly indicate type and location of all branding as well as quantities. • No branding will be permitted without the prior approval of the venue’s marketing department. • Costs of producing, installing and removing branding will be for client’s account. Should the client not remove branding at the end of the event, the dome will remove the branding and charge the client for this. Please note that the dome will not store any branding. • If there are damages, the client will be charged for all damages to the dome should the client use their own contractor to install and remove branding.

Outdoor Branding Opportunities Our venue is situated adjacent to the Northgate Shopping Centre. Branding the outside of the dome creates great brand awareness and gives you exposure to the patrons that visit the Northgate Shopping Centre. Please note that outdoor branding can only be erected on your contracted days.

o request a quote, please email branding@coca-coladome.co.za. Should you have special branding requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us on 011 794 5800 to further discuss.

Terms Costing and Payment • All prices exclude vat • Cost estimate is based on the supply of correctly formatted artwork • Pricing includes production and installation. Removal will be based on what is ordered and quoted for on the formal quote. • 50% deposit required on approval and the balance due 21 days prior to the event • Installation will only commence once final payment has been received

Artwork • All artwork to be supplied by the client • Artwork required will be charged at an additional rate of R500 per hour • Artwork is required 14 days prior to installation date

General • Once installation is complete, the dome will not be responsible for any damage or loss of marketing, branding or advertising material due to theft, vandalism or any act of nature such as wind, rain, fire etc. • A call out fee will be charged if the supplier is requested to return to the dome to do any maintenance work caused by weather conditions or human interference.
