BART BRASELTON
New Year, New Designs One of the most fun parts of building a Braselton home is the fun the homeowners can have decorating their home, “personalizing” it to make it the way they want it to be. When you buy a used home, you are paying for someone else’s design decisions, but a new home is a blank canvas that you can make your own. This is an amazing opportunity, but it can also be an overwhelming burden of too many choices. There’s also always the scenario where design decisions don’t all work together and a house ends up a mishmash of too many styles and colors- this could make your dream home a nightmare! Fortunately, at Braselton Homes, because we are committed to the quality of our product, as well as to building homes that show the unique style of our customer, we are the only local builder who has an in-house interior designer. Cilinda Bogk, our designer, has years of experience in the field, and she works with our customers, guiding them through the myriad of our decorator selections, which not only includes the typical selections of flooring, tile, countertops, stone, brick, paint, etc., but also choices in hardware, lighting, doors and window coverings. This ensures that a Braselton homeowner will have an exciting experience, and a home to be proud of for generations to come. Trends are very important in interior decorating and design, and, with our designers help, we work to keep Braselton buyers in the forefront by providing some of the latest selections available. If you are building a new home in 2017, do you really want it to have all the latest styles...of 2007?
Below are some of the trends our designer forecasts for this year:
We’re using it in everything from accent walls to backsplash tile and even small rooms such as powder rooms. The color is crisp and new, but has staying power because green shades will always be in style »»Quartz and other stone containing some sparkle, gems, and “glitzy” finishes will be the “in” countertop this year, and, so we are incorporating touches of this subtly into our design to bring some of that richness to our décor. »»Tile that looks like wood...it can bring nature indoors, without the hassle or expense of real wood. On the floor it looks polished and sophisticated, and as an accent wall it brings visual interest and warmth to any room. Cilinda’s favorite is the wood tile on the walls of a shower, instantly turning a bathroom into a spa. »»Matte stainless steel finish for appliances. It’s easier to keep clean, and gives that updated look that we all want from our appliances. matte stainless is at the forefront of the new look for the next several years. We are looking forward to an amazing 2017. As the largest homebuilder south of San Antonio, we appreciate the opportunity to continue to bring beautiful places to live to the Coastal Bend. With Unique neighborhoods, full of homes that express the uniqueness of each homeowner, we’re working to change the city, one neighborhood at a time, and to bring the best in design to our hometown. See you in the neighborhood, Bart Braselton
»»Greenery...it’s the color for 2017. This bright, leafy green brings freshness and calm to interiors and can update any room of your home.
