High Frequency
The high-frequency treatment uses low-current high, frequency oscillating alternative currents. Because the high-frequency current converts oxygen in the air into ozone, the treatment has a germicidal action, and it also dries and warms.
This alternating current is called the ‘Tesla Current.’ It produces 60,000-200,000 hertz frequency, depending on how it is regulated. (The frequency indicates the repetition of the current per second).

This treatment can be performed directly or indirectly. It can heal, improve and clean the skin using an electrical current or frequency that alternates at over 100,000 cycles per second. The intensity of the current is controlled with a switch. The current is applied via a glass electrode. The therapist fits a suitable glass-shaped head into a handheld holder, which passes a current through to the glass electrode. A small concentration of gas in the head ionizes when the current passes through the head (the head will glow in color dependent on the gas contained in it). This current stimulates the skin cells.
The glass electrodes fill with a gas: either Argon (produces a violet/blue ray) or Neon (produces an orange/red ray).
Therapists mostly use the violet electrode to treat acne-prone skin. A minute amount of ultraviolet light is emitted when the electrode makes contact with the skin. This low level of UV exposure is considered very safe and provides excellent antibacterial results.
