The Barratt Foundation has achieved remarkable progress. Its impact would not have been possible without the generosity of the Barratt Redrow Board, the work of our national charity partners, and the dedication of the Barratt Foundation team.

1 in 5 children have a probable mental health condition*. That’s why we support Place2Be, a charity dedicated to ensuring children like Mohammed never have to struggle alone:
Mohammed was an anxious child and used to struggle to leave his house. Having one-to-one counselling helped him to build his confidence and talk openly about his feelings. Now a teenager, he looks back on his experience:

It also helped my schoolwork. I was able to answer more in class. I’m smart in maths but didn’t want to put my hand up, even when I knew the answer. I didn’t like people looking at me. I sat there thinking “don’t pick me”. But I don’t mind it now.
By the time I’d started secondary school, I’d found a new confidence to stick up for myself. I used to let people walk all over me, but that doesn’t happen now because I’ve got the confidence to stop it.”
Mohammed is just one of the 104,000 young people who have been positively supported by our partners around people. I could go out and stay with my friends.
