Ask, what was the last time you looked under your car's cap? Can't you recall that? Not the only one, you're not. Today, cars are usually so reliable that most of us often do not bother to check stuff such as oil and coolant levels. We assume that it's just as okay not to check our tyres, let's say regularly, which could be a major security risk. That is not good, but worse, yet. How are we aware of this? Because of MOT Watford tyre failures, 10% of all MOT test failures are national. We go through what you should look for with the tyres in our latest piping safety article to prevent a failure of the MOT test.
Worn Tyre Treads The MOT test focuses all on road safety and safety – to make sure you and your passengers don't only have a safe vehicle, but also all road users. Many criteria – from brakes to axles to driver visibility – and more are controlled. The problem number one is... the treads are worn down of the 10 per cent MOT test caused by tyres. Super important are tyre treads. First invented by Continental Tyres engineers in 1904, these treads are rubber grooves that take water out of the "contact patch" between pneumatic and road conditions. The traction allows pneumatic handling that allows driving drivers to brake, steer and speed up – everything that keeps the car and the people inside and around it safe. If the rods are worn, the pneumatic treads are actively dangerous and thus a minimum rod depth of 1.6 mm is legal
