Christie to Showcase Latest Innovation for Exhibitors at CineEurope

Christie presented its latest industryleading cinema solutions from across its broad portfolio at CineEurope, June 19-22, at CCIB Barcelona. At booth #301 and meeting room #134, Christie will showcased its latest innovations in media playback systems and theatre management utilities, and CineEurope debuts of the Christie CP4420-RGB and CP4455-RGB pure laser cinema projection solutions. "From the latest projection technologies to our economical and proven Xenon products, Vive Audio, service options, and more, we deliver the best performing, most reliable solutions," says Adil Zerouali, senior sales director, Cinema EMEA, Christie. Christie's RGB pure laser projection line-up is the widest range of environmentally responsible projectors on the market, with best-in-class lumen-to-watt efficiency, low CO2 emissions, washable filters, and hundreds of projector and lens combinations. The Christie CP4420RGB provides an advanced, yet affordable high-performance projection solution for medium-sized auditoriums, while the CP4455-RGB is ideal for large-format screens up to 114 feet. Both models are DCIcompliant, feature Real|Laser illumination technology, and excel in image quality, operational lifetime, and onscreen brightness. The tried-andtrue Xenon illuminated projection solutions have graced many theatres over the years, screening some of the most well-known films of our generation. Delivering outstanding value and flawless performance with low TCO, Xenon projection is used widely in cinema theatres and events around the world including the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Christie manufactures the only Xenon projector capable of displaying 4K content up to 120fps. Christie's Xenolite Ultimate Performance lamps now offer longer-lasting brightness as part of an economical package. The new Christie media block for the Christie CineLife+ Series 4 pure laser and CineLife+ Xe cinema projectors is also compatible with all major brands of Theatre Management Systems (TMS). This budget-friendly yet premium solution enables playback of 4K resolution up to 96fps, allowing content such as Avatar: The Way of the Water to be played as the director intended in 4K at 48 fps-per-eye in 3D. In addition, the IMB-S4 is integrated with the intuitive CineLife+ web user interface for a seamless IMB experience and comes with 1.8TB of onboard SSD storage that can be expanded.

Command Station is launching at CineEurope as a new application to Cinergy, an advanced remote monitoring and management software platform for both Christie and nonChristie equipment. Cinergy provides exhibitors and service providers with robust tools to monitor system health and track assets, automate key delivery, and drive informed decisionmaking with comprehensive reporting. The new Command Station application allows theatre managers to perform booth operations and control equipment from anywhere in their theatre. Subscribers can start and stop playlists, adjust lighting, audio, and more - quickly and effortlessly, all from a tablet.

GDC: Delegates to Hear More on New DTS Surround @ Live Demos

GDC Technology Limited (GDC), a leading global provider of digital cinema solutions, recently announced their showcase on eight new products at CineEurope 2023, the official convention of the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), an international trade association representing cinema exhibitors and their national associations across 39 European territories.

GDC will showcase a complete product line of SR Series media servers, including SR-1000 IMB with the audio capability of rendering up to 32-channels of DTS:X for IAB immersive audio that supports

SMPTE's ST 2098-2 immersive audio bitstream (IAB) standard. Additionally, two types of FAST media servers will be displayed including the SR-5400C IMB, which can play 4K 3D at 96 frames per second in 3D; and the SRC-7500 media player, designed for the Unilumin LED cinema screen and can also support 4K at 96 frames per second (fps) in 3D.
