Forced into an unhappy marriage by her Aunt and stuck caring for her sickly husband, Thérèse Raquin lives a life of quiet desperation. Until she meets Laurent. This brutish man charms his way into the Raquin household and stakes his claim on Thérèse’s heart. Does his love offer her a passionate escape from the dull monotony of her marriage? Or will the affair ensnare her in a situation even more torturous than the life she already leads?
