Dinu Tamazlacaru is one of the stars of the international ballet world. Born and trained in Moldova before switching to the Vienna Conservatorium, he won the prestigious Prix de Lausanne in 2002. Vladimir Malakhov brought the then 18-year-old to Berlin’s Staatsoper Unter den Linden, which later merged into Staatsballett Berlin, where Dinu Tamazlacaru was appointed First Soloist in 2012. He has dazzled in such roles as Prince Siegfried in “Swan Lake”, Lenski in “Onegin”, Romeo in “Romeo and Juliet” and Basilio in “Don Quixote”. As well as inspiring Berlin audiences with the precision and poetry of his dancing night after night, he is also a thrilling attraction at numerous guest performances and galas.
