Jonathan Tetelman (Tenor) has rapidly established himself as a major star of his generation.
In the 2024/25 season Jonathan Tetelman makes his highly anticipated house debut at Vienna State Opera as Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana conducted by Nicola Luisotti. He also makes his first appearance at Los Angeles Opera as Pinkerton in Mario Gas’s production of Madama Butterfly. He can later be heard in this role under the baton of Kirill Petrenko at the Baden-Baden Festspielhaus and in concert performances at the Berlin Philharmonie. The tenor returns to the Deutsche Oper Berlin in the title roles of Don Carlo and Werther and to Ópera de Las Palmas as Luigi in Il tabarro and as Roberto in Le Villi . Tetelman makes his debut with Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in concert performances of Tosca conducted by Daniel Harding. Other highlights include his return to San Francisco Opera as Don José in Carmen and to Munich as Macduff in Martin Kušej’s production of Macbeth .
Tetelman’s concert season includes his debut with the legendary Christmas in Vienna concert series with ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien and a New Year’s concert in Gstaad. He returns to Gstaad to sing Verdi’s Requiem conducted by Gianandrea Noseda and presents solo concerts in Munich, Prague, Frankfurt and at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
Jonathan performs at the most important theatres, such as Wiener Staatsoper, Royal Opera HouseCovent Garden, The Metropolitan Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper and many others, collaborates with the greatest orchestras like Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic. For Deutsche Grammophon he has recorded 2 award winning solo albums: Arias and The Great Puccini.
Among many collaborations with his colleagues one can highlight, Elīna Garanča, Jonas Kaufmann, Asmik Gregorian, Kirill Petrenko, Andris Nelsons, and Michael Tilson-Thomas.
Michael Recchiuti (Pianist) is active internationally as conductor, pianist, and accompanist. He was head of the musical staff at Venice’s Gran Teatro La Fenice, and Consulente Musicale for the Ente Lirico in Cagliari Sardegna, where he presented the first French language performance in Italy, of Rossini’s Guillaume Tell , starring Chris Merritt. He was a Guest Conductor at the Budapest State Opera in the Spring Festival, and for the Summer Festival production of Verdi’s La Forza del Destino starring Giuseppe Giacomini in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
After winning the International Competition for Opera Conducting at Siena’s prestigious Accademia Chigiana, where he studied with Franco Ferrara, Carlo Maria Giulini, and Bruno Bartoletti, he was awarded the Diploma di Merito, and chosen to conduct performances of Bellini’s Beatrice di Tenda with soprano Cecilia Gasdia. He has assisted many conductors, including Nicola Rescigno, Giuseppe Patanè, Bruno Bartoletti, and Alfredo Silipigni, who engaged him as Associate Conductor of the New Jersey State Opera, and invited him to conduct Puccini’s Le Villi, and Mascagni’s Zanetto . He also prepared productions of verismo rarities such as Mascagni’s Iris , and Lodoletta
In North America Mr. Recchiuti was the Founding Executive Director of The Lorin Maazel Castleton Institute, where he conceptualized and built a comprehensive training curriculum for young singers, and produced six concerts. He was also Artistic and General Director of the American Opera Theater, founding Principal Conductor of the New Jersey Opera Theater and founding Music Director of Opera de las Americas, the national opera of the Dominican Republic. He has been a frequent guest conductor for many organizations including: Orchestra of St. Lukes, the Long Beach Opera where he collaborated with director Hugo DeAna, the Orlando Opera, the Korean Symphony of New York, the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, and the National Lyric Opera.
