KAMAO SMASHES BUKLAD IN SSC ELECTIONS BY JAMES R. DIVINA

KNOCKED DOWN BY A LANDSLIDE PUNCH!

apisanan ng mga Mag-aaral at Organisasyon (KAMAO) emerged victorious in the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Election on September 7, 2023, at Sorsogon State University (SorSU) – Sorsogon City Campus, overshadowing BUKLAD Partylist with a commanding win. The vote counting concluded at 12:24 p.m. with KAMAO’s Jan Vincent Taladtad securing 1,262 votes, surpassing his opponent, BUKLAD’s Jin Daniel Presado, with 1,038 votes. All candidates running under the KAMAO party showed strong performances, with Vice President Cathelene Joy Grefaldo receiving 1288 votes,

Rosalie Banico earning 1,030 votes for Auditor, Kyrynn Balaoro gathering 1,211 votes for Public Relations Officer, and Kevin Buen and Betty Mae Patayan acquiring 1,141 and 1,109 votes for Business Manager, respectively. Meanwhile, Pauline Joy Frago received 2,049 votes for Secretary, while Rikki Mae Tolentino obtained 2,074 votes for Treasurer. Outgoing College Student Council (CSC) President and Student Commission on Election (COMELEC) Chairperson, Celso IV Dellosa, assured students of SorSU – Sorsogon City Campus that the election was conducted fairly. “To assure sa gabos na students kan SorSU –

Sorsogon City Campus, na sa pag-conduct namon na COMELEC ay wala po kaming kinikilingan na parties… and gusto namon san clean and fair na election po for this school year and sa mga masunod. ” The CSC-COMELEC began the vote count at the Office of Sports, Culture, and Arts of SorSUSorsogon City Campus at 5:52 p.m. on September 7, and concluded at 12:24 p.m. on September 8. A total of 2,300 voters were recorded, with 732 from Baribag Extension and 1,568 from Sorsogon City Campus. Watchers from both parties, along with The Artificer, were assigned to oversee the vote count.
