Mark Douglass is an artist, designer, and curator with a hands-on approach to creating meaningful and impactful work. This portrait campaign is a deeply personal project that pays homage to individuals who have influenced Mark’s life, from cultural icons to close friends and family. Originally inspired by a family tree wall of portraits, this project highlights the people who have shaped his journey, supported him through challenges, and given him energy to overcome struggles, including depression. In today’s online world, these figures are the real “INFLUENCERS.” The campaign is about recognizing the importance of human connections, the power of community, and the role people play in pulling us out of our darkest moments. Each portrait represents a life touched, a lesson learned, and an acknowledgment of gratitude. The campaign will celebrate these relationships, showcase Mark’s creative journey, and culminate in a powerful art exhibition where these portraits take center stage. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to St Vincent’s Hospital for mental health support, reinforcing the theme that people are the reason we keep going.…A project that has drawn from a deep personal space. My life has been shaped by the incredible people around me—family, friends, mentors, and even public figures who have influenced me from afar. At my lowest moments, it was these people who helped my life journey... helped me find my way back. This campaign, INFLUENCERS, is my way of saying thank you.
A family tree wall of portraits—faces that shaped me, supported me, and gave me the energy to push forward. In today’s world, these are our real influencers. This project is about recognizing the importance of human connections and celebrating the power of people in our lives. Each portrait represents someone who has made an impact on my journey.
