CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS

Another construction milestone reached.

Structure for half of the community building is reaching completion.

The walls are being erected along with the piers for concrete ramp that will give access to the function room that has a capacity for over 800 people.

The 12 columns around the water tank are also underway.

On the northern boundary of the site the next lift will see all the block work completed and then back filling can commence and work on further foundations for the Mosque and forecourt can begin.

FACTS: Stage 1 basement contains: • 300 car parks • 132 Columns • Male & Female Lifts • Youth Centres • Madressa class rooms • Janazah Facility • Staircases

BIC FUND RAISNG DIINER DRAWS A CAPACITY CROWD Committee member Faisal Haitia points out construction features to guests Sheikh Shadi Alsuleiman and Sheikh Suliman Moola. Sheikh Shadi Alsuleiman President of Australia National Iman’s Council, commented that the scale of BIC made it the biggest undertaking for a community and Masjid development in Australia.

A capacity crowd of over 450 people turned out for the BIC Fund Raising dinner hosted

by Sheikh Shadi Alsuleiman and Sheikh Suliman Moola . Generosity of the crowd was witnessed as auction items sold well above reserve and many anonymous donations to the building were received.
