meet with movie advertisers to discuss complaints of violence and lurid sex connotation in film ads. The Los Angeles Times is reported to be seeking a reduction in the volume of public criticism of published film ads. ' Morris Borgos, Times Theatrical ad department head, had been sounding out the idea along "Film Row", headquarters of film distributing and advertising agencies here, it was reported. The Hollywood Reporter, film trade paper, said that the TilDes had mortised out some art in ads for "Vice Raid" and "Inside the Mafia." It also said the Times had not dealt with film ads as roughly as the Los Angeles Examiner, which in past months has refused ad layouts accepted by the Times. Perhaps because of increased vigilance by ad departments, the pictorial pffensiveness of ads has been toned down, but there has been a noticeable increase in offensive and suggestive copy content.
