Problem of How to Spend Retirement Years 'Solved by St. Thomas More Parishioner By Patricia McGowan What to do with one'g retirement years seems to have attained the status of a national problem, but it's no difficulty at all for George R. Harrison of St. Thomas More parish, Somerset. His problem is how to find time for everything he wants to cram into his days. This happy state of affairs didn't just happen. Years ago, when Mr. Harrison was a hardworking executive for the Cudahy Packing Company, shifting from city to city in their behalf and later on, when he became the company's eastern· general manager and settled in <'Ie Diocese of Rockville Center, New York, he was planning for his retirement years. Always active in his parish, wherever he was living, he kept in the baek of his mind the idea that when he retired he. would devote the major part of his time to work for the Church. Lucky Parish That's what happened. Two years ago he retired to Somerset and as Goon as he and his wife were settled in their snug little cottage on Prospect Street, he paid a call on St. Thomas More's pastor, offering his services to the ~arish. "I was taken up on my offer!"' smiled Mr. -Iarrison. He's been busy ever since with various projects.
