The Recom mendation of this appoint ment came to His Excellency, Bishop Connolly, from the Mil Itary Ordinariate Office in New :rork. In 1960, Mr. Hemingway re ceived an honorary doctorate degree from Stonehill College and in November 1961 was named to the Papal Order of St. Gregory by Pope John XXIII for meritorious service to the Church and religion. He is a member of many trans portation associations and has been a leader in all national safety campaigns. He is now chairman of the Turn to Page Twenty
