The Core Art Gallery presents a curated selection of works by Antoine Dufilho, a contemporary artist whose practice is centered on the automobile as an object of design, art, culture, and emotion.
Through a refined visual language, Antoine deconstructs iconic vehicles to reveal their sculptural lines, mechanical elegance, and symbolic power. His work resonates strongly with automotive collectors and enthusiasts, bridging the worlds of fine art, luxury, and car culture
Between the names “Dufilho” and “Bugatti”, there is a link woven by the passion of several men.
First of all, Jacques, Antoine’s great-uncle, had the good fortune to collect Bugattis. This passion was passed on to his nephew and naturally the torch was passed to Antoine.
This love and an artistic vision of the automobile led him to the creation of automobile sculptures. He started working with aluminium to sculpt the Bugatti type 37, which was one of the jewels in his great-uncle’s garage.
His collection now includes some thirty models, all of which have the artist’s distinctive style.

The Core has commissioned Antoine Dufilho to create a unique McLaren “Papaya” work, referencing the iconic vibrant orange livery first introduced in 1968 and revived in 2018 as the brand’s signature modern matte finish.
The Core is pleased to present this piece in Las Vegas, a city that has become a global stage for Formula One.

More than a car, it is a myth!
Antoine has chosen to pay tribute to this icon of motor racing from the 1960s by creating a 1:1 sculpture of it. This sculpture uses a longitudinal cutting technique that Antoine has called ‘Streamline’. This representation evokes speed and aerodynamic research. The blades that form the sculpture seem to vanish when you face them. Its elegance and mythical line, however, remain perfectly recognisable when viewed from 3/4 and the plates play with the light. This sculpture was presented to the public for the first time at the 2022 Paris Motor Show. Surrounded by 16 other prancing horse cars, it was admired by over 400,000 visitors.

This Porsche 911, made from stainless steel tubes, gives off an impression of speed and power The slightly oval, hollowed-out wheels reinforce this feeling.‘In 2021, I wanted to set myself a new challenge and present an original work.Made of stainless steel tubes, it inaugurates a new tubular style’ When viewed from the front or rear of the car, it’s no longer a complex lacework of metal that you discover, but an artistically elaborate honeycomb The proportions of this sculpture are impressive: 4.30 metres long, 1.80 metres wide and 1.40 metres high.As with all his creations, Antoine Dufilho plays with materials and lines to create effects - speed, movement, transparency - and antagonisms - emptiness and fullness, illusion and reality. From the static, he seeks a dynamic. He constructs before deconstructing to retain only the essence of the model that inspired him The view of the work changes depending on the angle from which the viewer stands, offering a 360° kinetic vision

The Bugatti brand, so dear to my heart, has managed to reinvent itself, and I chose the Veyron, a symbol of renewal, for this new monumental sculpture.
The creation of this sculpture, inspired by the Bugatti Veyron, aims to capture the essence of this iconic supercar.
More than just a representation, it’s an original interpretation of the car that brought the brand back to life in the 2000s.
The Veyron’s aerodynamic lines and bold silhouette are embodied in this version of my “streamline” series, which features a new one-piece grille. Shaped like a horseshoe, a symbol of the brand, it appears to be machined from solid, giving way to a “tunnel” that runs through the sculpture from front to back.
The sculpture, placed on a base oriented like a springboard, and the materials, their appearance and placement add to the dynamic visual effect of the work.

‘I’m offering a new version of the Bugatti 35 for its centenary, and I’ve decided to give it an original style that’s much more organic than I’m used to’
Created to mark the centenary of the Bugatti Type 35, this monumental sculpture captures the essence of this legendary car that marked its time! Made from bead- blasted stainless steel, the metal plates are arranged organically, creating natural, harmonious lines that symbolise the speed and aerodynamics of the Type 35.
The lines and curves of the sculpture give the illusion that the car is in full motion, accelerating. This is the first time that the artist has created a sculpture in a frozen posture that seems to have come straight out of a race. The work appears to be alive, thanks in particular to the stainless steel, which reflects the light in ever changing ways, underlining the elegance of the original forms.
The organic arrangement of the blades reinforces the idea of movement, paying tribute to the 100 years of this precursor of ‘modern’ Formula 1 racing.”

As a child, Antoine Dufilho was introduced to the plastic arts by his great-uncle, an actor, painter and sculptor. Later, studying medicine enabled him to discover human mechanics. After three years, he realised that this path prevented him from expressing his boundless creativity, even though it taught him rigour. He went on to study architecture, which led him to a new approach to sculpture. In particular, he developed a passion for working with frameworks, which, once exposed, reveal a succession of fullness and emptiness, bringing lightness and dynamism to the overall form.
A graduate of the Lille School of Architecture and Landscape Design, he built his studio from scratch in the Lille country side, using sea containers, in which he creates all his works.
Antoine Dufilho is self-taught, experimenting with different techniques such as moulding and welding to gradually build up the aesthetics of his art. He began devoting himself fully to it in 2012, evolving it as time and inspiration went by. Little by little, his style is asserting itself and his work is making a name for itself.

VISION KINETIC
His work consists in exposing an alternation of full and empty, materializing a skeleton, breaking down the forms into successive layers A movement is created by this sequenced representation. It is thus a kinetic vision of a static object that the artist offers us, in particular thanks to the wandering of its observer, which allows a different interpretation according to its point of observation. The dynamic effect is accentuated by alternating symmetries and asymmetries, causing an acceleration or deceleration effect.
