Curatorial Experience November, 2014 to date: Curatorial team at Selecto–Planta Baja, Los Angeles, CA. Selecto–Planta Baja is an artists–run space funded by Margarethe Drexel (Steeg, Austria), Raul Paulino Baltazar (Los Angeles, CA) and Víctor Albarracín Llanos (Neiva, Colombia), established as a platform for international cooperation and cultural exchange on the basis of a rigorous curatorial program focused on the search for experimentation, honesty and risk in contemporary art practices. From December, 2014, the space has generated a significant series of exhibitions, including artists from Germany (Else Gabriel, Regine Rode, and Maximilian Bauer), Austria
(Joseph Schröck and Elisabeth Haid in collaboration with Super, Vienna, Austria), Los Angeles (Roxane Rendón and La Gótika), and Colombia (Andrés Felipe Uribe and Víctor Albarracín). Upcoming solo shows include: Richard Newton, Hugo Hopping and Tyler Rowland, Mónica Rodríguez, Thari Jungen, and James Lee Byars’s works from the Eugenia Butler collection. Selecto–Planta Baja has started an editorial project with a volume of poetry by La Gótika and a DVD with works by Else Gabriel. Upcoming publications include Andrés Felipe Uribe’s Auffürhen, and Mónica Rodríguez’s Confiscation Archives. La Parte Maldita curated La política no ama, a show by Cuban Artist Ana Olema at La Central, Bogotá. As an editorial project, La Parte Maldita also published books by Ana Olema, and two books by Víctor Albarracín Llanos: Materials for a Makeshift Shack (2013) and Feign (2015).
